I love modern day too! Can't ever forget about my feelings when I saw how they handled our poor boy Desmond in Black Flag's modern day... it was heartbreaking to see.
I actually liked Desmonds story, and I was eager to find out what his future was but then...yeah Ubisoft did that thing. I liked the sense of awe that Desmond had when he found out new things as the modern day story unfolded, Desmonds awe was our awe. The players.
I loved the desmond arc it was so epic in my opinion! I really hope they wont butcher the story of the new assasins creed with their mistakes (ubisofts mistakes!)
Quebec took Montreal’s excellent set up of the modern day narrative( In Origins) and absolutely TRASHED IT in Odyssey, hearing that THEY are setting up what seems to be a new modern story gives me little hope for what Montreal was building with Basim
The only problem I had with Odyssey's modern day was the fact that some portions of it was locked behind DLC and some fans couldn't experience it unfortunately... but can't wait to see what the animus hub has in store for us!
I’m very hyped for the new modern day story I love how ac origins and Valhalla tied real life in with the past it reminds me of the roots of ac as a game and can’t wait to see what they do with ac shadows
Can't believe how many great underrated RUclipsrs, including you are in shadows of popular ones, that surely aren't trying hard as you underrated RUclipsr, me myself started a yt channel just from inspiration from a lot "underdogs", all I can say is keep going and I hope we (underrated ones) get more popularity!❤🎉
I have always said that the modern day is the most important part of Assassins Creed. With how much the modern day has fallen apart in the most recent games I am not surprised at he current state of Assassins Creed games. Ubisoft has really left a lot of important key things about Assassins Creed behind, stuff like eagle vison, hidden blades and the bleeding effect, key things that are supposed to shape the modern storyline. The new devs at Ubisoft do not understand the fundamentals of the game and this is why the modern day isn't doing so well, by now we should have already had a fully modern day Assassins Creed game that really give us a lot of information about who exactly the Assassins are in the modern day and what exactly are their big plans for Abstergo and the world, great video man :)
Thanks a lot! Totally agreed, we need a proper modern day story from Shadows onwards. I would pay for a modern day only Assassin's Creed in a heartbeat... Can't forget how disappointed I was when I first heard about their cancelled plans about Desmond's modern day game and worse than that, how they confirmed that Watch Dogs has no connection to AC and everything we see in those games are mere easter eggs...
Awesome video! I agree they should continue the stories in games instead of books. Don't know what they're planning to do with modern day but I hope they improve things in the future.

Well said brother. Trying to appeal to everyone just makes things mediocre. SHOW YOUR CREATIVE VISION UBISOFT! Create an amazing artistic game, like the first couple of AC games, and the money will follow. Don't think about how to generate lots of money by appealing to everyone. That way your franchise will die, and be forgotten... Don't let your franchises be corrupted my money hunger. Create from the heart.
Exactly this! We need more innovative and crazy ideas like the first couple of games instead of trying to please everyone... that's almost impossible to do!

Oh he is absolutely right, since I have mentioned it in the video as well. But the thing is Ubisoft Quebec's devs said Basim is 'currently' not a part of their story. So if we think about it, it might mean he will appear in the story in some point, right? At least I hope he shows up!

They should have continued the Juno story in the games not the books that ruined the modern day story
