The only way I would play this game is if they went back and switch the black guy for a Japanese 🤷‍♂️ just because it would signal all companies that if they do what we want then they get money

Shadows gameplay actually looks good, but I won't be forced to play as a non Japanese Samurai, because none ever existed.

its possible yasuke was one, he was given his own title, property, by Oda

@Kyōbōna Japanese ministries have stated that this is not the case. Yasuke was a retainer for Oda Nobunaga for a short time, but wielded no weapons and fought in no battles. If he was Samurai, it would have been noted.
Even if he was Samurai, it is not representative of the culture, in fact it is highly disrespectful. Would a Japanese warrior as the main character be OK in Assassins Creed Zulu?

This game will be great. Think about it, if Ubisoft had put a classic and expected Japanese samurai, everyone would have criticized Ubisoft for not having an original idea. Whereas here, they had the courage, the audacity to have chosen Yasuke, which is very surprising and unexpected. On top of that, it is Oda Nobunaga's fault if Yasuke is in the game, not Ubisoft's fault. If Nobunaga had not put Yasuke at his service, Ubisoft would never have had the idea of putting him in an Assassin's Creed. Yasuke had a very interesting life for a black man of his time and condition, it is undeniable and as a historian, I am very satisfied that in a video game we talk about him. This game seems much more audacious than Ghost of Tsushima which only fantasized about Feudal Japan and glorified it without taking any risks.

I was on the fence with Ubisoft. S&b kinda pushed me over the edge. I don’t think I’ll ever play another Ubisoft game. Sad thing is it could have been great.

XDefiant was the game that pushed me over the edge, the game was managed and marketed so poorly. Thank you for your comment, appreciated you input!

please don't kill Assassins creed, may be sell it to CD Project Red, or Santa Monica, or Rockstar or Rocksteady Studios

Theres a good chance if Ubisoft goes under that will sell most of their assets, Assassins creed is a substantial franchise and there are developers out there that i feel would be happy to take over the franchise albeit if its in a different brand name.
