@@cobaltblue5523 Hello Cobalt Blue, The speakers Sounds like it's playing out of a tin can. The speakers are loud and clear enough to listen to RUclips videos without frustration. The screen is acceptable considering how much I paid for the Chromebook (which was $179 not including tax). The screen is hard on the eyes if it's not positioned just right. I have no trouble when it comes to speed. The Chromebook turns on and wakes up from sleep mode faster than my Windows gaming desktop and handles multiple open Chrome tabs with ease. Overall, I would say the Chromebook is worth the money. I would buy this Chromebook again if I needed to.

The following comments are in no way a critique of this video or the creator. I have had the 11" version of the Lenovo Chromebook from this video for a little over a year. I would never buy it again. I'm an adult, and I'm now on a fixed income, and I'm careful with my things. But before I was on a fixed income, I had a job where I used my Acer c720 Chromebook. I dropped the Acer on concrete at work no less than three times, maybe four or five times. The Acer even has a crack in it, and I can see the internals of the device, but it still works as it should eight years later. However, compared to my broken-but-functional 8-year-old Acer, this 1-year-old Lenovo junk. I repeat: the 8-year-old Acer is better than the 1-year-old Lenovo. Why? Well, the wifi on the Lenovo disconnects constantly. How so? If it gets too warm, wifi shuts off. If you hold it in certain ways, the wifi will shut off. If you move it in certain ways, the wifi shuts off. If you bump it hard, sometimes the wifi shuts off. If you bump it lightly, sometimes the wifi shuts off. Every time the wifi shuts off, you have to restart the device. Over time, I realized that if I was holding or carrying the Lenovo and the wifi shut off, I could sometimes bend the device (its cheap plastic), or I could sometimes hold it a different way, and sometimes the wifi would come back on without restarting the device. This led me to believe that the issue is due to a poor connection with the wireless card and the other internals (I would guess the motherboard) that it is connected to. So now, I don't move it. It is essentially a $150 desktop, and sometimes the wifi still shuts off, requiring the device to be restarted. Maybe it's a fluke. Maybe it isn't. But these things shouldn't happen, and if they do happen, then the remedies should be quick and easy. But it's not quick and easy. They make it difficult on purpose so you'll just shut up and buy another one. Dealing with underpaid and underappreciated and under-educated customer service reps sucks. Dealing with underpaid and underappreciated and under-educated tech support reps sucks. Dealing with underpaid and underappreciated and under-educated warranty reps sucks. Dealing with having to send back a $150 item and wait for weeks while they (maybe) fix it, sucks. Additionally, the Amazon reviews have plenty of warnings in them. I would say I am a brand-loyal person -- if you make junk, or if my experience with your products is a junk-experience, I'm not likely to ever buy your products again. However, I can be persuaded with quick and easy replacement processes. But if you don't have quick and easy processes, and if you don't have an adequate system to make up for your underpaid and underappreciated and under-educated employees/representatives, then you don't even have a way to persuade me. With quicker and easier remedies for junk-products, review channels like this wouldn't even be necessary. People wouldn't have to spend hours upon hours researching how to spend their hard-earned money, because they would have an assurance that any junk-product would be remedied by the junk-manufacturer. Lastly, I say "F" this, "F" that, "F" them, "F" Lenovo, and "F" planned-obsolescence. "F" the system of Capitalism, which was developed by the wealthy-class for the wealthy-class, which allows the wealthy-class to get wealthy and stay wealthy by forcing the working-class to make junk and then sell that junk to other working-class people, or starve. I suppose it goes without saying at this point, but "F" the wealthy-class. EDIT: Oh yeah -- let me know if you got the laptop, and, if so, what your experience has been so far.

I know they have different processors. Which is better? I can to gift it for my teenage son for use for school, streaming, and playing some games.
The next version of this, the IdeaPad Slim 3 Chromebook (2023), is very much worth it. A fan-free Chromebook good enough for most users, with the new MediaTek Kompanio 520 processor.

Google already has enough information on all of us and you want to give them more by using a Chromebook? The only reason it is cheap is that they make more money off any information that you give them. By selling you to anyone and everyone, it does not matter to them what the price of a Chromebook is. And whom knows what they are collecting on each user when they use one. And people are so generous to give it to them.
If you’re connected to the internet someone is gathering information about you. If you conduct business someone is storing information about you, in a database that’s probably connected to the internet. 🤷🏾♀️

Is this laptop 1080p? Can u watch RUclips videos in 1080p on the Chromebook?
The Chromebook by Lenovo that is said to be a rumored one with the specs like great display and the powerful mediatek chipset seems very interesting one.
Do you think it's worth it for just watching Netflix sports games etc..Thanks!
Hello! I don't really know much about Chromebook. But I saw two deals recently. Lenovo Chromebook 3 14" Touch Laptop - Mediatek MT8183 - 4GB Memory - 64GB eMMC ($149.99) and the Samsung Chromebook 4 11.6", Intel Celeron N4020, 4GB RAM, 32GB SSD, Chrome OS, Platinum Titan, XE310XBA-K01US ($89). I know they have different processors. Which is better? I can to gift it for my teenage son for use for school, streaming, and playing some games.
The next version of this, the IdeaPad Slim 3 Chromebook (2023), is very much worth it. A fan-free Chromebook good enough for most users, with the new MediaTek Kompanio 520 processor.
is it worth it as a second laptop? how is the battery life? my 2016 i5 laptop eith gt940m has ssuper bad battery life (the battery is only 1 years old, it lasts only for an hour))
Hi guys,
Thanks for your videos. I was wondering if it would be possible to include the specs of the devices you check on the videos. That would be awesome.
Also, in regards to the side cameras, I would use it to focus on the Chromebook rather than on Robbie. But that's only a suggestion, of course. Thanks! And greetings from a Spanish fan! ☺️
For a 150, that's a great price.
Listed for 150 on the 11.6 at best buy right now!
Just ordered mine for $133. I'm pretty excited to get it.
Would to see a video on the best Chromebooks sub $200../$300./$400..etc..etc..another great one..😁😁😁👍👍👍
I got the Acer 314 , got a deal for £200 so pounced . Touch screen & does everything i need , i have a Lenovo yoga that cost 4 times the Acer & i use the chromebook as my daily .There are some great chromebooks out there for not a lot of cash .
Will you guys do a video on the news of cloudready being in the chrome os software? Curious
Will it have play store?
@@luisneto12344 It just means that Chrome OS will have Cloudready features. Basic Cloudready will stay the same.
For $160, yes, I'd probably pick that up. Though I don't currently see at that price anywhere right now. But, as you suggest, for north of $260, it's just not worth it. I got the Lenovo Duet 128GB for less than that.
Right now it's on sale at Best buy for $189 with a touch screen
Awesome review! I love all the review videos from Chrome Unboxed because they are so helpful~ by the way, can you please review the new Chromebook 5i from Lenovo? (not the flex version)
how about a compatile, affordable printer for this laptop?
It's good if you need it only for browsing the net. Just be aware that it only has 2 USB 3.0 and 2 USB-C ports, and one USB-C port is for the power and one USB 3.0 port is for the mouse.
Is this laptop 1080p? Can u watch RUclips videos in 1080p on the Chromebook?
@@TheCraftingProsHD No, it's only 1366 x 768.
Hi, how was the camera ? Is it ok ?
Any recommendations for a great case that holds a mouse and protects this chromebook well
Good review. Let me know exactly what I needed to know, as a Technology volunteer purchasing bargain Chromebooks for a Parochial school.
Deal of the day at Best Buy (7/16) has the step up model from $319 to $219. For the extra $60 you go from a TN 1080p 220 nit screen to a IPS 1080 300 nit Touch screen. Rest is the same. Kind of tempted to get as a burner lol
It's 189 on best buy now with touchscreen
I got it and it's pretty decent for the sale price . Was a bit disappointing with the speaker's. But I downloaded volume master chrome extension and it made them usable .
$150 now online and in store (11/7/21)

Very good review! Learned a lot.
Would this a good option for cloud gaming?
Good review again.
Got this bad boy for 93 after tax as an open box at Best Buy! Looks brand new. Seems like a steal for the price.
does the screen change colours at certain angles? :)
love the chrome unboxed merch
$129 at best buy at the moment
Would you recommend me this one or the previous Chromebook duet ( the one with the removable screen) for a university student?
Duet all the way dude.
Duet works well. You have to think hard about whether you need a bigger screen or not.
I mean laptop vs tablet
Really need a Chromebook under $200 for university. Dirt broke so it's very hard to find one. Even used at this point. My phone won't be able to handle PowerPoints and other random work related stuff.
I see this on sale at Best Buy this week for 149 , what I’m looking for is just a laptop to stream live videos or maybe watch something on one of my apps such as discovery + is this something that would work for that? Thanks so much
Are you sure it's a TN panel? Everywhere I look, it says IPS. If it is a TN-panel, it's a good one. Viewing angles are decent.
Is it 14"??
Intel Celeron N4020 or Mediatek MT8183?
Pls answer I'm deciding to get Lenovo chromebook but idk which cpu
As my previous Lenovo tablet died after six years of zo I replaced it with Lenovo tab 11 and it is great, 128 gig and vast. Soms typos, sorry I am still training my tablet's English.
It's only $129 @ Best Buy right now...
I have two Lenovo Chromebooks. My issue with them is the onboard WIFI sucks it.
PS Kensington lock? Why would anyone steal this notebook?
Excellent explanation on the price points and how to reason stuff out. If people were to hang two of these on their car seats to entertain their kids, they won't have to remove them when parked. This is something even thieves will snob. Too lowly for thieves.
snub
Is there a way to make this faster? Or what chrome book would you recommend for website building, ect… this makes the slow part of website building incredibly slower
Is this chromebook USI compatible? If so is it 1.0 or 2.0? I recently afforded this piece but i wonder if a stylus is compatible. I don't want to constantly order styluses off Amazon to not have them work and return. Any reviews or advice?
No
Is this worth getting in 2023!?
I would have to go with duet.
I haven't found anything it can't handle
The p60(8183) is a very competent processor altho age doesn't stop it
Made for Android games and chrome...
Can't use it without flat surface..lap etc.
Smalllll keyboard and pad
Beautiful screen.
I have this model and i like it much, but some time dont wake up from sleep black screen, happen 3 times in 1 week now, is this a normal problem for New Cromebooks? i hope it be better after run for more weeks.
love the camera cover
I believe I just bought this one at best buy
Lenovo 3 14" touchscreen
64 gb storage 4gb ram and meditek 8183 . Can't wait to test it out. I will choose this or an acer I just got with intell celeron. Oh and the lenovo you git on best buy states it's an ips screen so idk if that's an error on thier part or yours?
How's it working 2 months later?
I mainly bought it to test out low end chromebook. I'm looking for a more high end one . For the price it's a great deal. But if you can get the acer 315 on target 🎯 for the sale price I would recommend that
@@cobaltblue5523 We just bought this one, wife just needs it to type out quick documents here and there.
@@angelgregio oh ok this should handle light tasks like that with no issues . I would definitely recommend downloading google keep on the chromebook and your phone it's very useful. And updates instantly across wifi
@@cobaltblue5523 Perfect. Thanks Cobalt.
I just saw one of these for $113 open box at best buy I might grab it after this video lol.
I just picked it up 113. Felt like couldnt pass that up for that price.
@@chrisvarassi1591 how's it running? Have any problems with it?
i have the lenovo duet chromebook, do you think can you work only with the duet chromebook, sorry my english I speak spanish
what did you mean by "old-school chromebook keyboard layout"?
Just bought on walmart for $89
Funny. In my YT stream, there is a Chrome Unboxed review "Lenovo Chromebook 3 Review: $169 And Worth It". Says it was posted one year ago. From the thumbnail, it appears to be the same product? Just curious.
11.6" vs this 14" size and black onyx vs gray.color
I have tried to use it with different hdmi adapters and I haven’t had any luck yet. Do you have any advice on that?
Im waiting for a better duet.
Are chrombooks slow when their processor is an Intel Celerum?
The lid is aluminum...
Does Microsoft Office work?
The fact i got a Lenovo add while watching this
Thanks so much I’m going to buy one today $89 lol
I'm watching this on my Chromebook Duet
I’d like to see a review of 11” Chromebooks.
I'd like a 11" Chomebook with an IPS screen. My 14" and 13.3" have decent screens.

what about the review of the Acer Chromebook Spin 514 ? Is it deleted ?
I have the affordable sub £200 HP Chromebook with a mediatek m8183 and it's so fast. I only paid £120 which was a bargain considering its £200 rrp
$169 at Amazon, not bad. Its stupid these throwaway computers have been cresting over $200.
Is it good for grand piece?
Does it have touchscreen??
He said twice that it doesnt have a touch screen.
I love my chromebook its easy and fast tp use i paid $289.00 on the bestbuy website i love my chromebook laptop!
