For my writing a budget laptop is actually the best solution. I can do my work ANYWHERE.
      > I have both a 15” and a 17” laptop, but what do I always find beneath my twitchy fingers? My 11.6” Acer E11. I’m a big guy, but between the weight and the hot exhaust I seriously get uncomfortable with my bigger machines in extended sessions. I can use my E11 all day comfortably.
      > Many people don’t like 1366x768 resolution, but for my work it’s absolutely fine. I’m typing words on a page. I don’t need 4K. Mainly because of my next point.
      > Cheap laptops usually can’t game. The processors are weak, the graphics are weak, the screen resolution is weak. There goes my number one distraction-from-work factor.
      >If I break a cheap laptop I’m not going to cry. At all. Even though I’m using a Linux-rejuvenated Windows machine, I’ve got a couple older Chromebooks, so I’m in love with the fact that if I park my truck on my Chromebook, my data is safe. If I store everything on an SD card, hopefully it will survive too. But data aside, if I nuke my Acer I’ll go to the pawn shop or EBay and pick up another $50 specimen to bring to life…and go right on working.

      @@cobaltblue5523 Hello Cobalt Blue,
The speakers Sounds like it's playing out of a tin can. The speakers are loud and clear enough to listen to RUclips videos without frustration. The screen is acceptable considering how much I paid for the Chromebook (which was $179 not including tax). The screen is hard on the eyes if it's not positioned just right. I have no trouble when it comes to speed. The Chromebook turns on and wakes up from sleep mode faster than my Windows gaming desktop and handles multiple open Chrome tabs with ease.
Overall, I would say the Chromebook is worth the money. I would buy this Chromebook again if I needed to.

I saw it for $160, I just need something for the 2 weeks a year that I travel and I think this is perfect. I mean heck, just the battery in it is probably worth $50. I can use it as an external battery to charge my phone on the go, the rest is just a bonus LOL. It doesn't look half bad on the outside, yes TN panel is bad, but for that insanely low price... 1080p and small bezels is great, and you get a supported OS, running Chrome very decently with 10 tabs open, you can put a 512GB SD card in it and then download your episodes to watch on the go... type-c port means you can charge it with your travel charger. For the price honestly, what more do you want. It's insanely good value.

The difference in top speed is at 900% while in the base speed is 300% so you liteally got a better storage

The following comments are in no way a critique of this video or the creator.
I have had the 11" version of the Lenovo Chromebook from this video for a little over a year. I would never buy it again.
I'm an adult, and I'm now on a fixed income, and I'm careful with my things.
But before I was on a fixed income, I had a job where I used my Acer c720 Chromebook. I dropped the Acer on concrete at work no less than three times, maybe four or five times. The Acer even has a crack in it, and I can see the internals of the device, but it still works as it should eight years later.
However, compared to my broken-but-functional 8-year-old Acer, this 1-year-old Lenovo junk. I repeat: the 8-year-old Acer is better than the 1-year-old Lenovo. Why?
Well, the wifi on the Lenovo disconnects constantly. How so?
If it gets too warm, wifi shuts off.
If you hold it in certain ways, the wifi will shut off.
If you move it in certain ways, the wifi shuts off.
If you bump it hard, sometimes the wifi shuts off.
If you bump it lightly, sometimes the wifi shuts off.
Every time the wifi shuts off, you have to restart the device.
Over time, I realized that if I was holding or carrying the Lenovo and the wifi shut off, I could sometimes bend the device (its cheap plastic), or I could sometimes hold it a different way, and sometimes the wifi would come back on without restarting the device.
This led me to believe that the issue is due to a poor connection with the wireless card and the other internals (I would guess the motherboard) that it is connected to.
So now, I don't move it. It is essentially a $150 desktop, and sometimes the wifi still shuts off, requiring the device to be restarted.
Maybe it's a fluke. Maybe it isn't. But these things shouldn't happen, and if they do happen, then the remedies should be quick and easy. But it's not quick and easy. They make it difficult on purpose so you'll just shut up and buy another one.
Dealing with underpaid and underappreciated and under-educated customer service reps sucks.
Dealing with underpaid and underappreciated and under-educated tech support reps sucks.
Dealing with underpaid and underappreciated and under-educated warranty reps sucks.
Dealing with having to send back a $150 item and wait for weeks while they (maybe) fix it, sucks.
Additionally, the Amazon reviews have plenty of warnings in them.
I would say I am a brand-loyal person -- if you make junk, or if my experience with your products is a junk-experience, I'm not likely to ever buy your products again. However, I can be persuaded with quick and easy replacement processes.
But if you don't have quick and easy processes, and if you don't have an adequate system to make up for your underpaid and underappreciated and under-educated employees/representatives, then you don't even have a way to persuade me.
With quicker and easier remedies for junk-products, review channels like this wouldn't even be necessary. People wouldn't have to spend hours upon hours researching how to spend their hard-earned money, because they would have an assurance that any junk-product would be remedied by the junk-manufacturer.
Lastly, I say "F" this, "F" that, "F" them, "F" Lenovo, and "F" planned-obsolescence. "F" the system of Capitalism, which was developed by the wealthy-class for the wealthy-class, which allows the wealthy-class to get wealthy and stay wealthy by forcing the working-class to make junk and then sell that junk to other working-class people, or starve. I suppose it goes without saying at this point, but "F" the wealthy-class.
EDIT: Oh yeah -- let me know if you got the laptop, and, if so, what your experience has been so far.

Deal of the day at Best Buy (7/16) has the step up model from $319 to $219. For the extra $60 you go from a TN 1080p 220 nit screen to a IPS 1080 300 nit Touch screen. Rest is the same. Kind of tempted to get as a burner lol

Google already has enough information on all of us and you want to give them more by using a Chromebook? The only reason it is cheap is that they make more money off any information that you give them. By selling you to anyone and everyone, it does not matter to them what the price of a Chromebook is.
And whom knows what they are collecting on each user when they use one. And people are so generous to give it to them.
