Besides Brian Flores, there's also Kliff Kingsbury as a possible candidate who has experience as an NFL HC. He probably could use another year observing Dan Quinn, but he's not a terrible option for the Bears.
Mayo was like a new second lieutenant coming in and trying to run an infantry platoon instead of keeping his mouth mostly shut and learning from his sergeants. He wasn't able to figure out--like most of the members of the Belichick coaching tree--that he is not Bill Belichick (especially without a Brady to keep the offense together.)
Ok but here's my response to the Mike Tomlin doesnt have a QB argument. He's the one picking these QBs. He picked Mitch Trubisky, he benched Mason for Duck Hodges, he picked Kenny in the 1st round. If you need a QB, go get a QB, stop messing around with these subpar QBs if he doesnt believe in them. And if Tomlin is the great coach everyone says he is, he finds a way to win at least a playoff game with a subpar QB. Vrabel did it with Tannehill, he got to an AFC championship game.
Darnold on the Steelers would make the AFC North must watch tv, especially if the Bengels can actually get their defense going so Burrow doesn't need to play superman just to have a chance.
Why is the great Mike Tomlin allowing his WR to throw water bottles at anyone because he isn't getting his way. Isn't it the great Tomlin's job to fix the receiver room.
Looking at the Vikings off season I think we can all agree that they need to upgrade their interior O line. So let’s sign Tre Smith, but what if they don’t get him. Who are some of the under the radar guards and centers that will be available?
Not so much a dumb question but a fun one. Of all the moments you guys have been on the field for, what is the most fun/historic play you’ve been a part of?
Oh yeah you nailed it: Steelers problem is their front office. They draft in the back half of each round.......B. F. D. There's another team in the AFC who almost never drafts above -LAST- and seems to do fairly well. Hire a GM who fills his coach's needs and Steelers will be a winner. If not, there will always be that (should we fire him?) Question among yinzers about Mike Tomlin. Pittsburgh won a Super Bowl behind this man. Get him players he needs and he'll win. Don't the Rooney's think he's worth at least that before moving on from him?
Jeremiah and Alex, What is Kevin O'Connell's professional development plan for this offseason. He has coached two terrible playoff games... how does O'Connell get better as a coach this offseason?
DFQ: so... what IS the head ball coach doing at any given time during the game? whos in his headset? is he then matriculating ibfo and sets and directives to the coordinators and position coaches? how much does he interact directly with players/give instant feedback in game?
My question about Mike Tomlin is what happened to the defense towards the end of the season. Losing 5 consecutive to end the season and 4 of them by double digits isn't all on the lack of offense.
What in Holy Hell happened to Sam Darnold? Through the first 16 games he played like someone in the MVP conversation, not going to win but could get some votes, then suddenly his performance fell off a very steep cliff. I just can't how everything was just so polar opposite to his play all year.
it doesn't matter who the steelers bring in or draft. they have been one of the most undisciplined teams for almost a decade. they will not win any meaningful games with tomlin.
Isn’t it weird that all the great QB’s hit the age cliff… Peyton Eli Ben Rivers… but Brady kept going and getting better physically? LeBrady on that juice.
Does Tomlin have nothing to do with the fact that they haven't had a QB since Ben? What good is it to make it to the playoffs and lose and draft late. What is Tomlin and the front office doing to WIN the SB?????
These “dumb football questions” aren’t very dumb. They feel more like “mikes”. Imma try and think up some actual dumb football questions over the next week or so.
This episode changes so much watching after the vikings loss...
Vikings fan here after that wildcard game dibocal. This podcast is going to keep me sane through the rest of the season. Thank you!
*debacle
Vrabel was a good hire. They should have done that to begin with...
I think pretty much every team in the NFL would take rookie scale Caleb over current contract Dak.
Great job men!

Not looking through all the comments but i see Mike McCarthy is out. That obviously answers why Jerry didn't offer McCarthy a new contract.
J actually said Tee to the giants to pair up with nabers. Also maybe get Sam Darnold on that squad

Brute looks great without a hat.

It is called being insecure. This is the reason why Mayo didn't hire experienced coaches. To worried about people looking better than him.
Sirles said Darnold and Higgins to the Giants, I think thats what Boone was thinking about?

Right, he sets a great culture...except for all those guys that were toxic af.
Well this old news now. McCarthy is out as Cowboys coach.

Please send Tomlin to Chicago

Maybe the Bears need Zimmer😜 25:00
What's wrong with paying Ben Johnson to stay with my Lions? Geez, we FINALLY have a team that could make multiple playoffs!!!
25:48 🦉
Pittsburgh needs to find a QB because Russel and Justin aren't the answer. Mike will be back. Jeremiah looking good fresh hair cut trimmed beard.
Steelers need a QB and a non-head case good receiver.
@@Goblingraphx😃😃
Maybe jack del rio for Chicago.
I mean he likes to drink a lot and is Midwest guy.

Najee to the Vikings 😈

Dumb football question, how good would the Bengals be in 2025 if they had Brian Flores as their head coach

DFQ? More like, let's talk about what ESPN and NFL network are talking about
"We will get to some fan dumb football questions" -doesn't get to any-
Boone and Sirles slumber party? Who falls asleep first? 🤣
Are Boone and Sirles going to be braiding each other’s hair and doing their nails?
If the Bears don't hire Pete Carrol they are stupid
Sirles u traitor, u picked vikings on collers show!! 😭😭
Prolon is horrible
