Tom Coughlin needs to be in the HOF before he's gone. Yes he has those 2 SB wins against Belichick and Brady, but so many people forget he was the first coach of the expansion Jaguars in 1995 and took them to back-to-back AFC championship games in Years 2 and 3 of the franchises' existence. He was a legendary coach.

I would like to throw out a couple more people that need to be in the Hall of Fame. In the Real Goat scoring system, which is the most comprehensive evaluation of a quarterback's career, Ken Anderson scores as the 15th greatest quarterback to start a career after 1947. That puts him ahead of many Hall of Famers. It is also unbelievable to me that the player with fifth highest rated career, by pro football reference, of all defensive linemen in the history of the game is not in the Hall of Fame. That man's name is Jim Marshall.

I have an idea for game 18/player health and limits to playtime. How about this. You have your base roster. And you are given some form of additives for the foreign games. You can add say two players for offense and two for defense, and these need to be foreign talent. These players then have to play in X number of games including the foreign games. I used the number 2, but it could be more or less. This stretch allows for talent to be coached, and a wider selection of squad for game 18/injuries/wear and tear.
What better to grow the fans interest than if you have 4 Brits in the London game, 4 Irish guys in the Irish game, 4 German guys in the German game and so on.
And underneath this, the scouting work and resource - - maybe the league assists with some of that. If the NFL is to go global, Grass roots scope of the game outside the US will need to grow.
There is a lot of athletic talent in Rugby and Rugby league that is untapped by NFL.

Eric Allen not already being in the HOF borders on criminal. I know this most likely won’t be a popular thing to say, but that’s never stopped me before..
Putting a part time player like Devin Hester in the HOF before an every down player like Eric Allen at what is arguably the most difficult NFL position (aside from QB) is disgraceful.
To be clear, Devin Hester being inducted was absolutely deserved. He was incredible. But not at the expense of an every down lockdown CB who performed at a similar level to guys like Darrelle Revis and Aeneas Williams. Especially considering unlike those guys, he was also ridiculously dynamic with the ball in his hands. For proof of this, look up “Eric Allen pick 6 vs Jets 1993”.
