My partner and I live in Toronto, but she's been away on work exchange in Melbourne since March and will be there for half a year. I was lucky enough to visit her for just over 3 weeks in April and I absolutely fell in love with the city. It's got most of what Toronto has and then some, and I couldn't agree more about how good the vibes are, especially in the CBD. It's crazy how recognizable everything is since I was able to tell exactly where you two were within the first couple seconds of each shot - I really miss being in Melb and I really miss my partner :')

Continue to love your videos. I am a massive Melbourne fan (although from Sydney).
When you pick up Blueberry you really need to see more of Melbourne.
Melbourne and Sydney are similar in that they're both cities of villages (the suburbs are cities and towns in their own rights). The CBD of both cities is only one aspect of the city. To make an analogy out of food it would be like getting a hotdog loaded with toppings, but only ripping out the sausage and taking a bite of it then dumping the rest.
Melbourne has the worlds largest tram network (actually it's so large, if you combined all the light rail and tram networks in North America together, Melbourne's track length is still longer).
So it's super easy (if a little slow), to get to all the villages you need to see from St Kilda, Chapel St through Windsor, Prahan, South Yarra through to Richmond, the MCG, Fitzroy, Brunswick, Collingwood, Willamstown, Brighton Beach....

LOL @ 2:08 😂 Tia says they got coffee at probably one of the most touristy spots in all of Melbourne (Degraves Street, that's correct), when exactly the same time they're walking past Duke's Coffee Roasters, 247 Flinders Lane, which is a local Melbourne Speciality Coffee Roaster, the polar opposite, very non-touristy place to get coffee in the CBD 😂😂. I said out loud "Well there's some non-touristy coffee right there for ya if you like" 😂😂.

Ned Kelly's father came from Ireland. His family lived on the neighbouring farm to my father's family in Ireland (my family is at least 10 generations in that area). The local village near their farms where my grandparents are buried has a Ned Kelly pub and Ned Kelly festival. His fame spreads.

Good video , in my younger years I lived a stone’s throw from the city and the MCG ( spent a lot of time at the footy in those days 😀), lived in the outer burbs for the past 40 ish years.
It’s good to see the old city.
A pity you didn’t have time to see more like some of the cool little suburbs adjacent to the city like Williamstown which has the water doing a big arc around it , and some good fish and chip places , which you can grab a feed and sit looking across the water at the city ( quite nice at night), or follow the water around and eat looking across port Philip bay , also quite good at the western end if there’s a good sunset.
    Happy trails 😉.

Hi Guy's, I'm glad you both enjoyed your time in Melbourne. It's a good city to live in and a great mix of European and Asian cultures. Fun fact Melbourne's population is made of immigrants from over 200 countries so not only can you find authentic food from these countries and food that is a fusion of them. It doesn't have the spectacular scenery of Sydney but is a cool and relatively easy place to live and that's why immigrants seek to come here to live. Anyway, I guess if you're back in town welcome back to a cold wintery Melbourne and I hope you get the chance to see an AFL game and see a bit more of Melbourne and it's outskirts. Safe travels! Cheers, Stef.

Tia's reaction when she ate the sushi said it all.
Since you guys love Asian food, Little tip for you if you come to Brisbane, "China Town" (aka fortitude valley) in Brisbane is not the real China Town, it's just the place that's called China Town (there is a few good Asian restaurants there but not many) The place you'll want to go is Sunnybank (about 20km south of Brisbane CBD)
Actually many of the best bits of Brisbane are in the surrounding suburbs, luckily you have blueberry to escort you around.
On the topic of blueberry can anyone recommend a good mechanic for Mazda's in Melbourne? Blueberry's probably just about due for a health check.

The Free Tram Zone covers Flinders Street Station, Docklands, Queen Victoria Market, State Library and Parliament House just to name a few. You don’t need a Myki Card if your travelling within the zone. Your required to touch on if your leaving the free zone to travel with a valid ticket. The 2 hour fare costs $4.60 then after 2 hours it’s $9.20 for the whole day capped. A full fare Myki card costs $6 and this is non refundable and you need top top up prior to travelling on Trains, Trams and Buses.

As someone that has lived in Melbourne Surroundings and worked at a café in the CBD, it was definitely a great place to visit. The worst part is trying to find a parking spot but if you are meeting up with friends there are plenty of places to park and go on foot. the night life is awesome especially in the underground EDM scene, highly recommend looking around for a place called Brown Alley they always have the best vibes. by far the best thing I've done in Melbourne was going on a Drum and Bass Ferry Cruise into twilight of Melbourne Docklands. its unbeatable how amazing that night was. Definitely hit up the Eureka Sky Deck and see the sky view deck, definitely somewhere I should take my wife to again.

As someone who has lived in Melbourne for the last 42 years, I love hearing your thoughts on the place. I’ve been to every State capital city except Darwin and I still think Melbin is the best! Upside down river and all! LOL!
Having seen Mebourne at its best, I think you would be shocked to see footage of how it was during the lockdowns we experienced during 2021-22, which was the longest and hershest lockdown in the world (bar none!) and I think it shows the resilience of Melburnians to see how ell we’ve bounced back. The stark difference of what the street slooked like back then, to what you experienced, is frankly hard to believe, even for one who lived through it, but I urge you to hunt down some of the video footage of empty streets and how uninhabited the city looks in that. I have friends all over the world who were shocked at what they saw. Not a happy subject, but still something I think you two would find worth looking at, given your obvious attraction to the place.
