I have a flawless black Gear S3 Frontier with a black stainless steel mesh band and black diamond cut bezel ring, totally unique. Samsung offered me $200.00 trade in for it plus a cyber Monday discount bringing the Watch 3 LTE down to just $219.00 plus tax. I decided to give it a try... After setting it all up (keep in mind that I don't use any of the fitness functions, I use my watch for phone calls, text messages, checking emails, getting weather and package alerts and Samsung Pay for super fast checkout) their was absolutely no different in the user interface. All the apps I use daily were the same and looked exactly the same. The Watch 3 felt lighter and cheaper (despite being nearly $500.00 retail). Even though the Watch 3 was brand new my Gear has longer battery life. But the last straw for me was when I stopped into the convenience store that I use daily on the way to work and Samsung Pay would not work. Turns out the stores card readers are old school and don't support NFC payments and the Watch 3 DOES NOT support MST payments. So, on day 2... The Watch 3... went back to Samsung and the Gear S3 Frontier went BACK ON MY WRIST.
Great review sir! It convinced me to pull the trigger, and it's $100 off normal price on Amazon for the LTE unlocked 45mm, delivery tomorrow. Question for you though, is the Spotify issue fixed now, or still a problem?
LOL, I don't think anyone would mistake this for a Rolex. 🤣 But it's definitely a good looking watch that looks like a regular watch. Especially with an accessory 'Ringke' bezel. My only complaint with this watch is the lag you get when trying to reply to a text. Takes too long for the voice dictation or hand writing screen to open. Oh, and too often Bixby crashes/hangs when it tries to listen to a command. But the hits far outweigh the misses, so I recommend it.
Your description of blood pressure monitor is incorrect, what you're actually measuring is the blood oxygen saturation which is the percentage of oxygen in the bloodstream. Blood pressure is measured in mmHg and uses two numbers, systolic/diastolic (mmHg). We should be getting blood pressure monitoring on the Watch 3 soon, last I heard it was FDA approved (if you're in the US) but not yet rolled out.

As I understand it, the blood pressure monitoring system requires calibration against a dedicated blood pressure monitor, such as the ones offered by Omron. Since you mentioned you don't have one, I don't think the feature, even if enabled on your watch, is working optimally without the calibration.

Is this true? I wonder if Samsung plans to eventually support these features on other Android phones? I also MUCH MUCH MUCH prefer a round watch over a squarish watch. I HATE the Apple phone design. Reminds me of a casio calculator watch.
I mean it's made by Samsung so clearly there will be caveats to using it without a Samsung phone. Hell you can't even use an Apple Watch with anything but an IPhone and Apple products. So they're up in that category against their main competition.
Correct, it IS the same processor (which was my mistake), however due to the extra RAM installed with the addition of Bluetooth 5.0 over the old 4.2. it is indeed faster in every sense of the word. I have tested both watches side by side and it's a night and day difference in performance from the original Galaxy Watch to the Galaxy Watch 3
I plan to use this watch for running workouts. Does it have a stopwatch feature? Can the buttons be used for start/stop and for recording splits? Thanks.

Thats just the normal watch 3, not the titanium watch 3. Titanium comes with stainless steel band and is a little more matte black
Got mine for Christmas. Disappointed with the battery life but everything else is top of the line.

I always see the images on sms from Samsung messages and whatsapp. Not sure why not working for you.
Still haven't figured it out. I've tried even factory resetting the watch with no luck. Might be a glitch though?
