Walt Disney didn’t like the idea of a run down building being seen by his guests so the idea became this antebellum mansion that was pristine from the outside, and decadently haunted inside
By far the best photography of the Haunted Mansion (or any other dark ride for that matter) that I’ve ever seen. I don’t know what you’re doing differently regarding equipment and/or post-processing, but this is the only video of HM I’ve ever seen that replicates exactly how it looks in real life. Very difficult to do in such low light.

I like the changes. The only critique I could give is the differences in lighting of different ghosts in the ballroom. Some are still in the old yellowish light, while the dancers are now in ghostly blue light.
Think of it as like an aging ghost. The older ones show as a more yellow blend of color, while the newer, fresh ghosts are blue colored. Older age ghost vs. New ghosts that just passed to the after life….lol

I'm so happy that they are bringing the legendary haunted mansion back! I'm excited to see the new movie. I loved the little ride as a kid and I love how they've fixed it up a little in honor of the new movie coming outt!
I grew up with Disneyland. I grew up in south San diego. 2 hour drive north to the park. As a kid, no other thing could make me happier. I remember having tickets for rides. Haunted mansion was always my favorite. 70s 80s 90s. The longest I ever waited was 3 hours when " space moutain" first opened. My first understanding what purgatory must be like.
Fun fact about the view of the dancing ghosts in the ballroom with the dining table: A person a very long time ago actually snuck in a gun and shot the glass that was covering the ballroom area. I don’t know if it’s still there but for a long time, they were not able to repair the glass, so instead, they decided to make a big spiderweb out of the bullet hole and put a spider on it to cover the incident. It is or was located, supposedly mostly left of the entire glass cover. Someone who goes on that ride today, please reply if you notice it and if it’s still there. A rumor of that story was that the guy who shot the glass wanted to see if the bullet hole would travel through the ghosts projections. Obviously, the guy was crazy as a loon to do something like that, so he eventually got arrested at the end of the ride by Disneyland policemen. They escorted him out of the Disney premises and turned him over to Anaheim or Los Angeles PD. Yeah I know, crazy right?!

I personally did not care for the Holiday overlay during Halloween weekend when I last went, I wish they could wait till after October and just leave it longer on the other end. Christmas music on Halloween felt very off to me (Halloween is my Fav Holiday of course) even though it was Nightmare Before Christmas. I still prefer this version of the ride. It’s still there since they would have to remove the roof off the building to replace the glass for it being so large.
