This has brought back good memories of my time with BR in the 1960`s at Bletchley,on both steam and diesel locos as a fireman...good days indeed.And we also kept running during the bad winter of 62 when we had to light fires to keep the water columns from freezing up.
The lenght of the journey is about 5h. The journey can start from rail station Septemvri and finish in rail station of Dobrinishte. The distance between both stations is 125km. Average speed of 25 km h. I hope the info is good enough.

Невероятен маршрут!!! Мечта ми беше, да обходя маршрута Септември - Добринище - Септември, както се казва на един дъх... Това стана, сато есенна разходка, комбинирано с почивка в Добринище... Но не е за един дъх, а за поотделно да се посетят поне за час населените места към спирките/гарите, особено в отсечката Цепина - Добринище. Това е комбинация между красива природа, бит, култура и история. Също голяма мечта за мен е да премина трасето в зимни условия, подобни на тези от видеото...
Те това се чудя на МТИТС, МК, МОН, МРР, МТ и БДЖ (с всичките звена на които се раздели административно) защо толкова нехаят... Дали няма да допринесе за туризма и развитието на региона поддържането на тази линия- по-чести, по-удобни (за връзки), чисти и обслужвани на ниво влакове... Дали няма да допринесе ако определени моменти (празници) се пуска ретро състав за пътническо ползване, дори да не важат намаленията... Нима няма да привлече пътници и да допринесе за печалба на БДЖ, атракция към курортите, лице на туризма???
You did not promise too much, this is a winter tale indeed. Wonderful scenery and I love the whistle.

This is a mountainous railway road. It passes through Rhodope Mountains. The highest point is 1267 m.

It is as if rowing an icebreaker into a vast ice sheet. You have taken lot of pain to video
this. Please take help from somebody and add English titles as to the details of route, en-route places, area of the journey etc. A lot of science goes into the running of this train. A good story would make it a good children's Hollywood movie. Is this line and train in existence now? Thank you.
