Dentists raise concerns over Canadian Dental Care Plan

Dentists are expressing their concerns about what they say is a lack of details about the Canadian Dental Care Plan, with the Manitoba Dental Association even telling dentists to hold back from participating until some issues are addressed.

@@CogenMan3 Not everyone qualifies and I qualify and it is either I pay 0% or 10% or 20% for most types of dental work.

@@CogenMan3 I qualify for free some stuff, and some stuff I pay 10% and other stuff 20%. there are some exceptions. Of course it isn't all free, however it is a lot of free coverage and great discounts so seniors are celebrating. Not everyone is covered, however I am.

Every industry the government touches falls apart so yeah Dental's going to fall apart you're going to have a hard time finding a dentist wait times are going to go through the roof etc etc

Dentists worry about an end coming to their thefts. 1-2,000 dollars an hour just isn't enough

Only if you didn't do your own studying up on this program. I did and it is great for me. Do your own homework.

dentists aren't concerned, they just aren't going to work for lower rates then the insurance companies overpay. While they claim large start up costs, those are paid off at a speed you would not believe, and then it's off to pick up few franchises, properties and large sums of money....

Investment in our society is necessary for it to continue to exist, or we start paying every person in the country enough to afford private care. But continuing to do nothing will lead to the collapse of Canada. No more Greed. We need community or we all die.
