    You all did very good, in my opinion. A nice change, with very beautiful models. I enjoyed it a lot.

    Great video again!! As a wedding photographer, I found it best to count slowly 1-2-3, but click the shutter on 2, because people had a more natural look and less chance of eye blinking

      I’ve used that trick a few times myself - especially if I expected the subject to blink :-)) Thanks for watching!

    Grats to the channel anniversary and the 5k subscribers! The light leaves me kinda cold as I do not see any use for myself. However as always I enjoy watching you shoot, this time in a completely different environment than usual. There's always little things to pick up from your work. Much appreciated! 🙂

      Thanks for watching and the kind words! Yeah, the LED isn’t for everyone. I think it’d be hard to persuade most photographers that they should abandon their strobe setups for something like this. However, it does do the job. And for some subjects it makes a lot of sense. I have a photographer friend who specializes in special-needs clients, and a continuous light source is a must for her. So, it does have its benefits. Cheers!

    I've watched almost all your videos. I haven't left a comment on any of them, so I'm doing it here. Great work, it's a very interesting channel, good advice, a source of inspiration and always very educational. I hope you continue like this, there aren't many channels like this, especially in France! Of course, there's Shoot Film Like a Boss, but that's still in Shakespeare's language. Great work and thanks for sharing.

      Thanks so much for the kind words! And many, many thanks for having the patience to sit through all of these videos :-). Feedback like this certainly motivates me to keep it going, and I have no plans to stop anytime soon. Cheers!

    👏 Great video! As always. Your great photos are indicative of your experience and expertise. Your humility though, makes learning enjoyable. Timely video, I been wanting to set up some lights for awhile. Congrats on the channel! Keep going & Keep growing!

      I really appreciate that. It does mean a lot. I’ve been shooting for a long time, but seems there’s always something new to learn. I know I don’t have all the answers, and this channel does help me explore new things. Thanks for coming along!

      Not bad at all for a continuous light source that doesn’t get as hot as lava by the end of the shoot :-)

    Hello Brittany! Thank you Brittany and Anthony.
    Even though it was “almost” out of free will. 😂
    10ft = ~3 meters. (9’10” actually)
    Pictures were great.
    That’s power enough. Specially with the range of lightcolor.
    I’m not fond of strobe lights. They’re handy outdoors. I’m going to to look for this light.
    And you’re welcome.

      😁 Thanks! I’m gonna need to have my metric to standard conversion app on the first pane of my phone. As for the light, it’s nice to be able to see what you’re getting -especially with film.

      Conversion wise, as in close enough.
      A little over 3 feet is about a meter.
      So 10 feet is about 3 meters
      16 feet is about 5 meters.
      24 feet is almost 7.5 meters.
      32 feet is about 10 meters. Etc etc.
      I think that’s close enough for explanation.
      You’re not woodworking with 6’6” and 3/4’s
      But yes, I love the to see what I do. Even though it’s film yes. I’m not a professional photographer by any means. And more in love with the darkroom printing.
      And do love a good light. And this one you showed seems pretty versatile, instead of one 100watt fluor daylight lamp in each soft box.

    Very nice.. I struggle doing inside photos.. Always grainy .. Just not getting my light correct. This is re assuring lol.

      Yes, that’s always the challenge. I’d usually use strobes for this when shooting digital. But it’s a lot of set up/test/adjust/test/adjust/test…At least with this I can just look at the light and see what’s going on. And I find that quite useful for film.

    Since you asked, I do not count. My rationale? I’m concerned that the subject will change their expression and put on a game face.

    • @vintagecameradigest
      @vintagecameradigest  4 месяца назад +1

      Good point! My greatest concern with counting is the subject anticipating and blinking on “3”.
