  • I am sharing with you all how to make your own ink storage.....I will write down as many sizes as I can but please forgive me if I miss anything. This is my first video like this and I am still working the best way for me do this.
    Initial Cuts:
    22 pieces @ 4 1/2" x 12"
    1 piece @ 12" x 12"
Top, Bottom, Left side, Right side:
    2 of the 4 1/2" x 12" taped and glued together
    shelves:
11 @ 3 3/8" x 11 3/4" ( when you cut your slits measure and make sure the shelf will fit in- that way you get the best fit for your shelf)
    Black strips:
2" x 12" black cardstock strips for clean edge and for construction of box....you will need a lot of these cust out as many as you can just don't put tape on all of them right away.
make sure you have a good glue for attaching the chipboard together for box top, bottom, and sides and I hope you have fun making this. I filmed these over a few days having to charge my camera, but all in all stopping to deal with life and stuff it really didn't take long for this to get put together.....this could be a great weekend project!!!!!

Just a note: If you took the black card strips on your shelves with the slots before you cut the slots out then your flexible shelf sides would also be the beautiful black and more stable from constant use over time. Beautiful work you have done.

Lovely box & the flexibility of the "walls" on the insides of the shelves is helpful when you have varying sizes of ink pads. I think I will modify your concept (because I'm not capable of leaving well-enough alone) and create my own similar version. I love the decorative papers you chose for the outside. Thanks so much for inspiring me!

Hi Te, I'm looking for an inexpensive, DIY ink pad storage, I'm wondering how well this held up for you. You made it in 2016 (according to the date on the video), and I need something that will hold up long term, did the chip board hold up and with scor tape? or did you find a stronger, better DIY alternative?
