    That turned out great

That is fantastic! You captured the look of the real one well. And I like your chipping and weathering. The model is a great tribute to fallen crew. Unfortunately this aircraft and its crew was lost in a low level (100-200 feet above the ground) para-bombing run, when this aircraft was hit on the right side AAA, took out the pilot with a gapping huge hole and the plane dove straight into the ground in a spatacular firey crash, killing the crew. You can google this aircraft and there are B&W photos from the aircraft ahead of this one, showing this one going down and hitting the ground. Sad story and sad sight, but I think Revell chose this aircraft to honor the crew and also so the crew would "live on" on Hobby shop shelves and in model aircraft all over the world for years to come. You did a fantastic job on your build!

Thanks for the history. I had no idea about this particular b25!! Man what a wild wwii story I'm going to have to look further into the pilots on this one. Thanks for watching!!

I’m building this right now. It’s just an OOB build, but it’s going together well. Lots of test fitting required, but manageable. It’s not complicated, and I’ve been practicing my painting on it. Only stripped it once. Thank god for acrylic paints. Interior is clear coated and ready for wash, weathering, satin coating and assy.

Do you use gorilla glue to build it? I have this set and was super overwhelmed when I opened the box and don’t know where to start. Also never put together anything like this before 😅

I used pennies for nose weight and it worked perfectly.

The kit comes with multiple decale versions so I make both!

    Why no nose weight?

I built this same kit and attempted to add nose weight to get it to set without a tail support. It takes A LOT of weight to get this kit to set on the nose gear properly, more than I would want to have on that plastic nose gear fearing it would warp over time. I elected to simply glue my model to the base and call it good. Nice build by the way!

Quite late to the party but what model would you recomend that is in similar scale and relative price. Either this or a different aircraft but on 1/48 or closer

@@davidc3150 anything eduard or tamiya that's in that relative price. You really can't go wrong with either of those brands

Turned out very nice! Is this Revell kit based on the Monogram mould? I have the Monogram one and the plastic is dark green and decals are different. I wish the Monogram had the Benito / Hirohito decal….
