The people who disliked this clearly didn't use a respirator when using contact cement
Also they are just unhappy people :( lol
True, they have severe brain damage
Thank you so much, I'm so making my own for my youtube kids channel. I'm ordering this pattern. Ty for all the wonderful info you share. :)
Happy to help!
I’d love to see how you’d make a Cheshire Cat! With a big grin!
Thank You So Much I Am Also A Puppeteer And This Helped Me A Lot!!!
Love Your Videos!!
I feel like I annoy Adam because I comment so much but. He is just the best
Love this video! So excited to make another puppet
Thank you so much for your puppet-making videos and links to the supplies needed! I am planning to make several of these type of puppets for myself and fellow teachers to use in our classrooms. Students love puppets and I find that they make lessons so much more fun and engaging. Thanks again!
Happy to help! Can’t wait to see what you come up with.!
I would love to see you make a puppet in a sock puppet style like you did for Thomas sanders
I’m planning on it!
I just wanted to do an elmo and i had to do all this ( it came out hella perfect tho)
Dude, send a link to see it!
I like how you always use different types of foam so we can see how they all look as puppets :D
That’s a big part of my mission.
what is name this foam?
Devo muito a você, amigo...sou muito grato por seu canal existir....
THIS CAME QUICK!!
Hello... I've seen that the 32 dns density gray sponge used in the furniture industry getting the softer with time. So can we say that eva foam is always more useful and long lasting?
The EVA will last MUCH longer.
hi Adam! super happy to see more puppet building videos! the puppet i'm working on now actually is using this same fur from puppet pelts :D i was wondering whether there's any reason not to just attach the chest and lower body patterns for the fur pattern?
You could attach them but it would not be a snug fit around the foam since those two pieces don’t line up evenly. Unless you changed to the foam pattern too...
Adam Kreutinger how do you know where to put darts, on the fabric and clay
Wonderful
I am having so much fun and I really enjoy watching you. Thankyou for being an awesome teacher and being so good at what you do.
Thanks from Brazil.
Success for you and your family.
20190402👍
Thanks!!
Wow
❤️❤️
I noticed in this part of the build that you didn't tape the top and power mouth together at the join. Is gluing the black felt enough?
I would not recommend using tape. The fabric is plenty.
Great video! I just wish that you had used the actual pattern that you sell for the medium shake. I’m currently in a puppet production and I’m getting a little panicked because i have to build my own puppet and I’m struggling with the medium shake one
you should get an interview with JoJo puppet studio ;) for an episode of puppet tears
I see what you did there ;)
I don’t understand
;)
Is the pattern being used the same pattern you made in the last video?
No. But you can follow along, o teach exactly how to make the pattern. But if you want to save time, this pattern is available for sale on my website. But I have a bunch of free patterns too.
Adam Kreutinger oh ok thanks
Do you recommend using the EVA foam or the reticulated foam for a non-furry puppet (i.e. fleece skin)? thx!
So you cut the fleece pattern and just used that? How did it go? I'm thinking of doing that.
Hi, I'm really enjoying your channel! I looked up the podcast and it appears to be iTunes only. Any plans to port it over to Android?
Thanks! It should be in Google Play. Isn’t that the android version? Is there something else?
Really wish you would’ve explained why a razor blade over scissors for the fur. It kinda messed up the plan I had for puppet because some of his fur was already cut.
You can use either.
I really need to build a new Steve D'Monster puppet, so I may actually take some initiative from this tutorial - at least maybe for the body, because the head is a different shape. Is Puppet Pelt reasonable on their Mongolian fur? Mongolian is always so hard to find; I had to use Luxury Shag as a substitute for the previous Steve puppet, but it's way too thick and heavyweight, making the puppet stiff and cumbersome.
How much faux fur should I get to do this puppet? Would 16x60 be enough?
I always recommend 1.5 yards. That’s plenty.
@@PuppetNerd Thanks. This is gonna be my summer project
Love your videos, currently trying to make my own, using a modified version of your pattern. So far I've found it fun. However, I've never stitched or used a machine prior to this. I've watched your hand stitch video and tried a few test runs on scrap material. It wasn't to hard but it takes alot of time. I was wondering if you could give a quick bit of guidance on sewing machines and what you what stitches you'd use?
Hey! I actually use an industrial machine that only does a straight stitch.
@@PuppetNerd thank you, that gives me a great place to start.
Ur new name is is Muppet master
Lol
These videos are really informative and fun to watch! Is there an alternative to contact cement?
Could you use hot glue as an alternative adhesive?
I ended up using it because I didn’t want to wait for the contact cement to ship. I am impatient.
No idea if it’ll last with constant use, but it holds well so far. Definitely works to just glue it together.
Love your vids. Do you think you could make a scary puppet or a ghost puppet?
I made an awesome zombie puppet before! You can see it on my Instagram. @AdamKreutinger
I’ll have a look. You are the Da Vinci of puppetry👍👍👍
What are the dimensions of the Fur you used. And how many sheets do you recommend for one monster puppet
I alway recommend 1.5 yards. It’s a little extra. But plenty for any standard puppet. The furry is called Shaggy Mongolian.
I have to imagine it it with the pattern instead of from scratch, and the seam allowance and mouthplate are what get me when I'm making the puppet, anyone have some wisdom
The pattern is available on my website too. www.AdamKreutinger.com
@@PuppetNerd yep, I got the pattern, it's absolutely epic, thanks
The link to the EVA L200 foam says the product (this particular one) is no longer available on Amazon. Is there a similar one you'd recommend?
Hmm. I’ll try to find another.
Yah, you can get it from TNT cosplay, because the one on Amazon goes back in stock, then sells out ten seconds later, but TNT always has some
Does anyone know why the oral plate becomes deformed?
Iran out of black felt so i used green and it looks good
Where do you source your foam and what kind is it? is there a foam called tavelar? not sure how to spell it. thank you!
I have my supplies listed here! www.adamkreutinger.com/supplies.html
Ahhh hahahahaha
I love you so much for sharing a beautiful craft. 😍
Thank you!
Puppet fur is super dificult to find in Finland, especially colorful ones 😪
Same with foam!
Thank you so much for the link to puppetpelts!!! Where have they been all my life. LOL I love your tutorials.
Hi Adam, thanks so much for these videos! Excited to get started making my puppet. I accidentally ordered 1" foam, does it make a difference? Will the fur pattern still fit if I use a different thickness of foam?
1 inch foam will work.
Awesome I've been waiting for a new series
I want to make a Elmo puppet too but i want a puppet
😃😃😃😃👍👍👍
Why did you add an inch in the fabric mouthplate pattern?
It allows a little more expression.
Smart
what did you hear/see @ 11:38 ... sus!
I was looking at the feed of the top down camera. Lol
Do I have to make two separate pieces for the head? Or can I use the other basic ground of the other set of videos you have?
You wouldn’t want it to be one piece with that type of foam. Also with fur it’s not necessary to ha e it connected.
Adam Kreutinger ok thank you! I just have a type of head made and am wondering what is best :)
puppet cartoon tv movie show
????
this is a great series, but i missed the free patterns part, could some one help point me in the right direction, i cant wait to start my puppets. thanks you all.
This series shows you how to make this pattern and how to put it together. I have a ton of free patterns in my website. www.adamkreutinger.com/
@@PuppetNerd i only find this pattern on your website for 45$, are the free patterns not a thing no more or did i just not found it.
makes me sad, i would love to do a puppet with right this pattern, and was happy to hear that your patterns were free.
seems like it was to good to be true
@@dududunroth5712 it's tuf to find them, bit there's a banner on the store page of the website, and also, if you go to the snoof video I think you can find it there
Really cool!
werer is
jeffy puppet
😂😂😂
Why use fleece to make a pattern? Why not use tape like you did on the original model?
When draping a pattern it is best to use the same or similar material.
You can use carbon transfer paper with the pattern wheel
Guys the process is tedious AS HELL if you are making your pattern without knowledge 😩👌
great video! i have a question thuogh.. i understand the math increasing it to 230 scale but, how do you measure to 230 scale for the cut out? are you using the mat to measure in inches?
the whole 8.5 by 11 gets increased. what I do is I will use Adobe Illustrator to fix the patterns and turn them into vector drawings, after that I select all of them and I use the scale tool and increase it by whatever percentage you have.
Fun lesson, thank you! I have been making puppets for over twenty years and we have developed very similar processes. Best wishes and thanks again.
If I can't get my hands on EVA foam but have recirculated foam, can I use that in its place?
Can you kindly sell or share the pattern for your monster cook... who can eat? =) Thanks!
Make a month with the regular glue
Thanks to you I'm hooked! How much fabric did you us for this one? 1 yard (60"wide) or more? Thanks so much!
Hello sir u r genius and a very good teacher 2.get well soon sir. All the love from India
Please en spanish tambien queremos aprender
Nice
Substitute ideas for scrap fleece? Or is scrap fleece the best/cheapest way to get the pattern?
Soo can normal foam work (or does it not work like that)
Most foams would work fine.
Huh
2 parts in one day
Not bad
I still come back to this after 5 years of watching
I made mine out of felt
This is helpful. I’m watching again
i am having a hard time finding l200 foam here in canada where i am. Is there a foam that I could use thats just as good?
Dear Adam, I need some answers If it won't take your time..
1) I guess I haven't started making puppet yet because I'm a little discouraged. What would you suggest? I see you work very fast. Can it be a problem for newbie to be a perfectionist at the beginning? Do you mean I am a coward? :(
2) Why did you make the head and mouth part in two separate parts at this video?
3) What could be an alternative to tupper ware plate. Because I don't like the sound of the mouth opening and closing
4) I'm thinking of using 1/4 inch thickness EVA foam. Do I have to buy hot air gun?
5) if we are working on a human head, does it necessarily have to be covered with fleece? Maybe painting EVA foam can be the first step the solution? Also, for example, can this face to be characterized by sticking soft sponge pieces on EVA foam? Have you ever worked the kind of puppet I've ever mentioned? Questions like this constantly confuse me. I am sorry :(
I’m sorry I don’t understand most of your questions.
In this video the jaw and top of head are separate parts because it allows for a more flexible mouth movement. Also since it is covered in fur it wouldn’t be as noticeable.
Where do I find the form you are talking about I went on the website and they have nothing like you’re talking about it has all sorts of other form but nothing like he said you make it as if it’s so easy but it’s not please explain so we can do this some people are mentally challenged Adam so this is not easy for us
I see you responding to everybody else but me I’ve commented on all sorts of other videos and so forth nothing negative and you never respond to me
@@andyburke3886 if you have a Joannes fabric near you I use green foam and I would not have the foam too thick .
What kind of fabric is the mouth made of?
I'm having a hard time finding EVA L200 foam. The link on your supplies page is discontinued. Any suggestions for a replacement link? Thanks, Adam!
Actually, I've listened to all of your tutorials and found the answer! Foammart.com seems to be a good solution. Suggestion: correct the link on your supplies page to send people there perhaps? Thanks again for all the info, Adam. Feeling inspired!
puppet 🐻🤩🤩🤩
u said the pattern is free
Where did I say that?
@@PuppetNerd you said in other videos that the patterns are free and when I went on to your website it said $53. Please correct me if I am wrong. 👍
You are incorrect. I have MANY patterns on my website that are free. I never claimed that one was free. I only have like 4 or 5 patterns that I charge for. I have like 10 that are free.
Would 10mm thick eva foam work?
Thank you so much
That is a nice body for the puppet.
May i havr a puppet that youve made
Sorry. He’s not available.
@@PuppetNerd i just want one that youve made but not a specific one
Keep an eyes out. I’m hoping to post one on EBay before the end of the year.
@@PuppetNerd ok thx and im a big fan
How long does it take you to build a complete puppet like this one?
About 40 hours of hand stitched.
Adam Kreutinger cool!
Is Dry Fast foam or L200 foam better?
can i get tips on being a puppeteer you are amazing
Can you use sponge instead of foam ?
Thank you 😊
So now I'll wait 4 hours for the next video...
It's ok if I use cardboard?
