Does anybody else realize how rare and amazing it is to see two fully staffed Truck Co.'s in the same house?
Long Island VFDs are probably some of the better prepared one's when it comes to gear and staffing. After all, probably 60-80% of the volley's on Long Island work for the FDNY.
Really interesting seeing a truck and a tower in the same house.
Amazing catches!! I love all the blue on the engine’s light bar!
Yup I agree you don't see that much especially in NY Thanks for watching.
@@TomFireVideographythat’s because it’s illegal lol. NY law says no blue flashing to the front for any vehicle except federal
@@PurpleGoat201volunteers have been recently permitted to have front facing blue lights, which is why many new rigs are starting to have said front facing blue lights.
@@enjoythesiren911that’s not recent. And that’s a permit for your personal vehicle. Not the rig. Pretty sure there’s limits on the number and mounting of those lights too.
@@PurpleGoat201 Illegal yes, but does anyone enforce it? No, because even the cops run forward blue's there now. The only departments that don't are in NYC, the state capital and the NYSP. Its a stupid law anyway. Blue and red are both needed as one is easier to see during the day and the other is easier to see at night. Combined they keep responders safe.
Sick catches! That Engine is a beauty
Nice video. The first rig (Ferrara tower) sure came out of the house fast! That 3rd rig, the new pumper, has a great front code lighting package.
Engine looks great! Love the lighting setup.
Yup I agree! Thanks for watching
Sick footage!
Thank you!
2 trucks out of one house? That’s kinda cool!
Yup thanks for watching!
Great catch!!!
Thanks!
If theres one company that does Mid-Mount pumpers right, its gotta be Spartan
That tower ladder use to be Elmont FD truck co #1
Excellent catch 🏴
Thanks!
Awesome trucks! Where is this exactly?

Thanks!
@@TomFireVideography no problem
Awesome catches!
Thank you!
Did Rockville Center already have the new engine on order when their other one suffered that MVA, Tom? Its a pretty rig, though I'm not partial to midmounts myself.
@@Stargazzer811 They did, the rig that got into a MVA was a different company (Engine 444) they bought a rig off of Westbury I believe.
@@TomFireVideography Ahhhh ok. I knew it was in that area but didn't realize it was 444's rig.
Nice catches!👍🏻
Thanks!
All the Long Island Fire Depts get the good rigs
Good catch have you been to Bermuda 🇧🇲 yet?
Thanks, No I have not but their rigs do look really nice.
those are big police cars
Nah they are a pair of trucks and an engine. Different states allow for different light colors to be used by fire and police.
