I'm surprised John Hughes didn't make a Pink Panther film of his own. I mean, if he did, I bet one title could have been "Rise of the Pink Panther". And here's how I see a "based on", "produced by", "written by" and "directed by" credit pattern at the end of the animated main titles: "Based on characters created by Maurice Richlin and Blake Edwards" ... "Produced by John Hughes and Blake Edwards" ... "Written by John Hughes" ... "Directed by Gus Van Sant". Do these sound like good credits to use if John Hughes had created a Pink Panther movie back when he was alive? Please send honest answers. I understand if you think it might not have been interesting. I just wanted to point out that Clouseau's slapstick is worthy of a John Hughes script.
The pink Panther is my favorite
