Probably the first time I’d say I’d turn down a 55 Chevy hardtop in my life. Mostly because of the chopped top, chrome trim can be replaced but that top ain’t going back.
It can go back if you know a good welder lol. They/The builder had to cut and weld it to get what you see if you think about it, so it could be undone. But I do understand the "Cost/Benefit analysis" being taken into account when considering if you want to buy it.
@@imhappyandyou.4003 true. I just find the cost of finding a good wielder plus the 40+ grand a bit steep for my taste. Bear in mind I do take into account the classic car market and the recent price inflations.

Once you chop the top, it goes from a 44000 car to a 10000 car.
And the want to be 57 fins and no 55 tail lights
@@tomhiggens6861 don't get me wrong I love the 55 as much as the 57, but i don't see the appeal in chopped tops. the only cars I've seen with chopped tops that are appealing is cars made from 1920 to 1945.

What is cool about this 55 is that it's not like everybody elses 55 at the local cruise night or car show. You will have your purist complain that the chop top is no good but most if not all the complainers dont have a 55 in there garage, nevermind a stock looking one or a custom . This car is going to definitely bring summer fun to someone real soon .

There's a chopped 55 here in Hawkesbay New Zealand first saw it at the local dragstrip,late 80s was white and a bit rough sold for 10k was white .now had full rebuild is black looks wicked.unreal to see a car and remember it from back then. I understand people liking stockish ones but as a body man I now what it takes to build one.if you like customs this is a awesome car.🇳🇿

Once you chop the upper car … windows , trim and rear window and windshield have to be special made and pay extra … This is like throwing out factory wiring harness and savings 5 lbs of Weight …

Here come the low ballers. Good thing though this is car that is adrenaline rush. Oh actually you can bring it back from a chop top if you know what your doing. I know a body guy that could turn this into the damn Batmobile. Before I get any comments, I work in the auto industry, so yeah I know a lot of guys with different skills that have take years to acquire. This just a $45000 toy.

I like the Chop top on that as well done well-constructed few a few minor touches and some issues on it the issues aren't anything motor sounds good as good power but those tail lights bread that 40 and up thing is a bit High but all around real nice car
