Great video and your commentary really helps depict how technical that place is since a camera can never do it justice. Side note, I really appreciate how humble you are in your videos. You're videos feel very "real'. Thanks for that and keep them coming when you can.
I rode Camp Fortune for the first time this summer. Soooooooooo much fun!!! I love the low-mid speed rock-tech-flow. Great spot. Tons of friendly folks too. I missed Evergreen when I was there. I'll get to it next time. Looks great. I agree about the "switch". Once I put in enough miles to feel confident, I'm good to attack steep rock without fear.
Oh shit I'm just noticing while watching again, at 0:24 my 3 buddies from Ontario drop into Salamander in front of you haha how did I not notice that the first time around! Well 2 are from Onterrible and 1 is from New Zealand but he lived in ON for a few years and that's where we became friends. Small world :P xD
"the trails make me quite nervous".... that's hilarious, that sums up fortune so well. This was my stomping grounds growing up, so much has changed... see you there! PS. flats are business as usual @ the evil rock godess :P
I feel the confident switch, it's re-running skills learned until they feel butter for me. Re-learn my boundaries before I can push them each season. Goes for my snowboarding and long boarding. Those tires made such a huge difference!
Camp Fortune’s DH trails are top notch! Man I love it, properly old school Gnar :D Evergreen is probably my favourite trail, man it’s so fun! Sick video bro! :D \m/
Great video and awesome to see your riding again. Your videos got me stoked to start riding again. Unfortunately bike isnt shipping until Dec. Hope home ownership is treating you right.
@@GoodTrails I was thinking of heading up there with the little one, spend some time in Ottawa then hit camp fortune, but it is above our pay grade. you do hit those very fast.
I moved from Toronto to Ottawa a couple of years ago and I found that going from riding in the Don to riding at Camp Fortune was quite the adjustment. It's all very chunky and techy at Camp Fortune, this place eats tires and wheels! Btw, have you been up to Mont Sainte-Marie? You had a ride down Boneshaker yet?
Yup! Agreed everything you say about fortune is true. I rode boneshaker a few months ago with some buddies. I didn't bring the camera, I will have to go back for that one!
We miss you here in Toronto. Keep up the good work.
Thanks! I'll be back for sure. I've already been back to Toronto a few times to ride this summer

Thanks man! That is the vibe I am going for, trying to keep it real lol
Awesome video, moving to Ottawa from Edmonton and can’t wait to try these trails!
You mean Edmonton to Ottawa?
Was wondering where you have been. Great to see you back at it.
I just took a little break from editing. never stopped riding tho! In fact, I've been riding 5 days a week lol
Wow Fortune looks chunky!!! That evergreen trail is one of the craziest trails I’ve seen! And that’s with the GoPro effect!
Haha its friged up! Come on out to QC any time
@@GoodTrails I need to find my confidence switch before coming out that way! Lol
True haha

Right on! Love fortune. Confidence switch needs to be switched every year
Dude. Stellar video. Your riding is superb. That chunky stuff is gorgeous! Well done!
Thanks! Im still getting used to the super chunky stuff but its really fun!
Techy rock and chunk - love it! Reminds me of Upper No Joke and other Garbo Zone tech trails at Whistler.
Yup, it's definitely similar to no joke! Great training for Whistler.
Good to see you back on the stumpy!
Thanks man! The stumpy lives on!

Wild! Next year we'll have to do some party laps at fortune
@@GoodTrails 10000% YES BRO!! Bromont too! :D
Sick vid man...trails looked rough as hell but you went on them like a G! Contents are always great man.
Thanks dude, glad you enjoyed it. Should have another one dropping tomorrow!
The trails up there are looking pretty sweet, might have to check them out some time!
You absolutely should. There are so many other trails in the area, I would recommend a long weekend!
Gnarly trails! Great video
Yah man. Thanks!

Seriously, its very sketchy!
You're back!
yeah buddy! back again
"Getting over a few last mental blocks before I hit this"- Anyone else relate to this a little too much
Haha yah, i was feeling sketchy that day!
Great video man! Love to see you upload!
Thanks Rob!

yup. and the cushcore makes huge difference. there's something that messes with my head when my bike is not right!

Love the vids

Right on! Too bad about the shipping tho, maybe there will be a miracle. Home ownership is the best!
Welcome back bro !
Edit the words on your tires with white out so they say good trails lol
haha thanks for the good idea!
Good stuff.
Thanks!
those looks like some rough trails, good stuff! as always :)
yeah dude, they are unrelenting! Big props to the camp fortune trail crew

Evergreen looked insane holyyyy
Yah dude i rode it again today and it was even sketchier! Super steep, rooty, rocky and a cliff on your left for half the trail!
What tire pressure do you usually run with kushcore at camp fortune?
28 to 30 but im 200 pounds...
Awesome vid! What bike are you riding?
Was on a 2019 Stumpjumper. Now I’m on a 2023 Norco Sight

The chairlift will be running at Mont Sainte-Marie this long weekend so might be a good time for it!
@@grahamlakejohns dang! Wish i could make but I am back in toronto this weekend
Riding those chunky trails by using fox rhythm with travel 150 at the front and 140 at the back, how do you feel it man?
It's not terrible. But bigger bike would certainly help! It's hard to keep the wheels from bouncing all over the place in certain rock gardens
the guy deno sold his santa cruz to my stepdad then finding it in the video was funny
Ha nice! Dino’s a nice dude!
hi
