Oh my goodness, I am so glad I found your channel. Your tutorials are so helpful. Before I found your channel I wanted to make something like this but I never knew how, now I do. Thank you very much!
I saw you're using milliput, but may I suggest an alternative? Apoxy sculpt and instamorph are both wonderful products. They both come in bulk as well, and is much cheaper and more economical than milliput tends to be. There's also Loctite- which dries in about an hour or so- though it can become costly for big projects. I'm glad I found your work and your dolls, and keep creating wonderful things!
I have considered apoxy sculpt, I need to find some on sale. Milliput is easier for me to get hold of, but the big tub size of apoxy is a real draw. And I definitely want to try out Instamorph! I only recently became aware of it but I need to get my hands on some! It looks amazing!
I usually get mine online, tends to be cheaper than in stores. I live in the US and milliput is considerably harder to find- making the price differences pretty comparable. Apoxy seems to last forever as well. It's pretty spiffy! It's kind of hard to work with compared to clay however- it's mostly good for claws and horns as such. Anyways, look forward to more dolls and thanks for the reply!
Could you possibly do a numbered start to finish of creating an art doll. Starting with design, then armature etc and lastly attaching fur and final touches??
I am struggling with finding the right wire for my creature (Discord from My Little Pony). I did a 9 gauge aluminum wire twisted only to find that it doesn't support the clay head. (The head is tin foil and thinly covered with clay. What should I do? I used super sculpty... The head is awesome so I don't really want to remake it... Any advice?
Leopardcorgi Creatures trying that now. Hopefully I can bake more clay over the already baked clay I did at the butt and shoulders! Crossing my fingers!
Hobbycraft very often carries it, you can find it in the section with the casting materials, plasters, clays etc. If they don't, it's easy to get hold of online. I wouldn't reccomend blue tack or play dough, they won't harden sold so they won't hold your pieces steady!

Try twisting some more wire around what you have, it should help.
