- Braintree dates back over 4,000 years when it was just a small village. People in the area during the Bronze and Iron Ages built houses on the lower part of the town, near the River Brain, known as the Brain Valley. Braintree is a town in Essex, England. The principal settlement of Braintree District, it is located 10 miles (16 kilometres) northeast of Chelmsford, 35 miles (56 km) northwest of Southend-on-Sea, and 15 mi (24 km) west of Colchester.
I've walked this road a million times between 1977 and 1983.We lived in Church Lane, the Tudor house, around the corner from where you started this video. Thank you for the memories...Just as I remembered it, so a walk down memory lane.
💗
It was a very thorough video of the town. Sitting here in Texas, with a cup of tea, watching your video was really nice. Braintree really has changed in the way of shops now occupying the town. But, the major structures are the same. We were married at St. Michaels, and lived in Church Lane. But grew up in Rayne. So we know all the surrounding areas as well. Please do more videos.@@simplyme-wl3zl
