Duggleby Howe and the Rudston Monolith are both neolithic monuments. They are connected by the Gypsey Race, which is a somewhat famous chalk stream. Very little water just now, but when in spate it surely is (and was) an impressive ribbon arcing across the landscape. Was it ritual connecting the two sites? We may never know.
