Hi Christopher, just located my collection of coins (£2 and 50p)from my bus driving days but i'm finding it very confusing as each collector on the internet seems to have a different view of the prices of the coins and also on what is rare and what isn't. I do find your program far more interesting than the others and enjoy watching you hunt through your coins. Stay safe Christopher and good hunting.

If you were to give the outer ring back to the bank (or the middle), would they give you back 1 Pound? Since there are 2 parts to the coin, that would be 1 pound each.

For all that separated coin was more than likely post mint damage I think you've done the right thing keeping it sealed 👌

Apparently when the £2 coin came out there was an issue with the centre and outer rings.....quite a few were found to be able to separate easily
Nice to see more success but I find it unusual that the bank put £500 of coins in a bag clearly labelled £100x10p! What’s going on?

I found a broken two pound coin walking in the local shopping town it had clearly been driven over I threw it out a few months ago as i didn’t think there was anything the bank could do with it

If you tap hard enough on the side of the outer ring it will deform it enough so the centre falls out...
It disappoints me that banks send coins out in plastic rather than paper bags.
If they put all off those coins in paper bags i think the paper bag's would rip and people would have to spend nearly all day picking up there coins..😅🤣 Just My Opinion..

Interesting finds the broken coin could have been caused by someone putting it in the freezer that causes the middle to drop out

Rotation errors have got coins that the back when you look at it is the right way but the queen's head is facing different direction what dose that add to a price of a coin

easy o take the middle out of 1 pound and two pound coins i used to shoot the mifddles out wqith an air gun and pop them back in again lol

The inner of that broken coin looked a bit fake, so maybe check it in more detail. I've just found a fake commemorative! 🤷🏻♂
