Jim's closed setup position, coupled with "stillness" through the swing, produces some of the purest shots (i.e., powerful tight draws) I've ever hit, in 40+ years of playing golf. I discovered Jim some 6-7 years ago (online) when I was about to quit the game because I was coming "over the top" without really realizing it... All I knew then was something was going terribly wrong; I was hitting a bunch of high, fadey, weak shots that had no power or distance, so I swung at the ball harder and harder to try and compensate, which only exacerbated the problem. Implementing Jim's set-up position (if held still through impact and follow-through) completely solved my OTT problem, and brought me back into joy in playing golf. I teach his principles to anyone who'll listen. It goddam works. ;-)
I wish I found Jim 20 years ago. Im teaching my grandkids before they go through all those wasted struggles I had in the begining. Jim needs to get to people before they ever pick up a club. It is so difficult to stop the conventional movements once they are instilled.
Nice Jim. I remember about 14 years ago I took some golf lessons from a local pro. He literally told me to “go hard” in my downswing. Attack. But I’ve found so much cleaner ball striking and power by doing less in the downswing and keeping my weight firmly planted on my lead foot and shoulders closed through impact. Thanks for your teaching.

Sure I'm still not very good at a 26 but that is my inconsistency and mental fortitude to stay still and be calm - so my pars and birdies are ruined by some shocking blow-outs. (I also play some the hardest golf courses in the world around Melbourne, Aus, but hey I still love the game). As my confidence grows thanks to the shots I hit when I actually perform the JV swing correctly, then the more times I actually get it correct and stop the virus of the "old way" infecting my golf. I'm still a ways off my goal so I need to go back in the Academy, rather than just salivate over all the free stuff and value Jim constantly gives of himself (unfortunately the Aussie dollar sux - but really the value is good and I need to stop making excuses). I'm glad to hear you are having success with this swing. I'm struggling a bit. I'm not exactly sure where the power source is. In his demo shots, where I'm assuming he is using maybe a 7 iron or less, it looks like he uses his right hand, kind of like a hitting a hammer. Am I the only one that sees ALL of these shots going RIGHT? Their all landing in a great close group, but none are landing straight out…..Very Confused.
I have tried this .. and with irons I slice the shit out of the ball..
Then you’re nowhere near doing it correctly. Best to learn the system properly.
no wonder no pros are using it.
Resist the hit
All arms
Completely untrue friend. Watch my body on the downswing. The swing is all body. The difference is I don’t overuse my body, I use it efficiently.
@@jimvenetosgolf Read Leslie in King that's what he taught
@@keviniwankow8294 apparently you have a bit off difficulty discerning swing styles. Completely different set up, grip, positioning throughout the swing, concept and difficulty to perform.
@@jimvenetosgolf you just stand there you have no preshot routine
@@keviniwankow8294 oh boy, I’m not playing bud, I’m just hitting balls and sharing knowledge. Have a great day and I wish you the best with your golf game.
EVERYONE of these shots are to the RIGHT.. Who wants to keep pushing shots?
Don't look at what's behind that curtain. 😏
@@TAYLORFAN50 What's behind the curtain is a used car salesman trying to sell a $600 program to golfers that are begging for help. Open your eyes. LOOK at EVERY one of his swings they are ALL right. I want to see him on a course aiming at at flag and see him swing to the flag. Don't say join the program. HE DOESN"T have videos of him playing in his program either. This is a PUSH swing ..
Sorry i am a O A P and can not afford your monthly prices
Jim. How many golf balls are out there in that desert?🏌🏿♂️
Jim es increíble. Gracias desde Argentina.
