Just to let you know. Your great. You turn your hand at everything. The world would be a better place if there was more women like you. Im an older version although not as competent as you are at 62. Bike riding, diy-er, gardener, dog lover, animal rescuer, crafter. A kindred spirit. Love the videos. Well done.

A lovely varied video there : ) Marina.
Some of my old motorcycles didnt have fuel guages on them. So when i filled the tank i would re set the trip on the speedo so when it got to a certain distance (130 miles or whatever you decide ) it would be time to fill up again. This may work for you and your van , hopefully.
I like the burning treatment you did on your wood store and may try it when i build an extension to my garden shed.
    Best wishes from N.E England

Hello from the UK Marina ☺. A good, less time consuming way, to collect your seeds, is to cut or snap the stalks and hang them upside down inside paper bags. They will eventually pop and the seeds drop into the bag and hey presto. What about breeding season for the door mice? They wouldn't have been taken away from their young would they? You're doing fantastic job by the way, and you have such good company now 🐾🐕 ..
Sending love, light and Summer blessings 🐞🌻🐝🌹🦋🌼 xx

Thank you for the seed collection tip! Yes that's exactly what I am worried about (separating the young from their mums) so I am trying to get them all relocated before they give birth (which I know in the past years it was in mid August to start of September). That's why I haven't caught them last year, cause by the time I figured out a method they had already their "pups". Fingers crossed I can get them all before it happens otherwise I'll have to start all over again next year 😂

No worries Marina., you're not the only one stranded somewhere because of empty tank! 😂This happened to me more than three times😁, not bc I forgot to fill up the gas tank, but bc I always had a" better" idea of how to spend that money instead of putting it in that tank! 🤣
Mice are highly intelligent animals, I hosted one of them with the most delicious food for a month trying to catch it and threw it outside of my aptm.
Eventually the mouse went away on it's own when I stopped feeding it!!! Omg, my kitchen smelled like a zoo!
Great wood shed, , looks so nice and feels good to see it almost full with wood.
Thanks for the lovely vid 😘🐾❣️

It was so interesting how you applied the Japanese method, showing the different phases, with a stunning final result! You show an endless reservoir of energy and drive in all of your pursuits. There is very little that does not stop you. Your wonderful personality shows through. What's a stranded vehicle without gas? It has happened to most of us (myself included).

Well done Marina…for lots of things in this video 😀👍…. Even though I didn’t know what those little creatures were, initially.. that you were releasing into the woods, we’re… I knew it was for a very good reason. They were adorable dormice… who also were using your roof timbers to ‘trim’ down their teeth…not so ‘adorable’!!!…So ‘relocating them’ was the sensible ( and humane thing to do…including hoping they get to meet up again 👌❤️)…As usual you had another project to deal with… the wood shed/ shelter… preparing for enough dry wood stocks for the coming winter… big job and exhausting too. All thought out and sustainable…including ‘flaming’ the shed panels to make them last longer… a very neat and effective transformation… love that you and Vongole sat back to admire the handiwork ( which he ‘supervised’ so well 👌!!… Good Boy 🐕❤️….). Never mind the slight delay caused by lack of petrol in the van’s tank…. We have all done something very similar… my car ran out of fuel on the way to the petrol station ( in my town)… and had to enlist some very kind chaps to push me the rest of the way there , with much good humoured teasing from them!!😂…(bought them choc bars from the petrol station shop.. to replace their energy levels!!)…I remember you treating that large garden table …way back in your videos…which is proof of the effective ‘flame’ technique’ 👏👏…You thoroughly deserved lounging in the hammock at the end… checking out some helpful reading matter sent by kind subscribers…Always keen to learn more and more ways to be sustainable and aware…we should never stop learning and being curious about our world 👌👌🙏….Thankyou Marina… much appreciated, once again… Sue (UK)……PS… my home grown vegetables are doing well…so much that I am going to share some of the surplus with others 😃

You could record the kilometrage numbers on a book kept in the car when you have the diesel / essence full. Their might be info about how much the maximum hold of litres is... this would be a start and eventually you would work out how much distance you can do on half a tank full etc...
I rarely let my KANGOO get less than half full / empty! Love your building skills......

I suspect that you'll suffer with all kinds of weeds in your veg garden now that you've used hay (dried grass) as a mulch - straw is the stem of arable crops (wheat/barley/etc) so doesn't have the seed problem! If you ARE going to use grass; use your own. Mow it, let it dry, gather it up, there you go!

Murning, about agenda's (seen your last video), I'm a retiree and it seems like time flies every day. That's why I'm now adding a bit of agenda in my diary to get things done instead of to much daydreaming. Still a work in progress, but hej I get more things done and that feels great. Italian Food Anecdote: when I was a kid (60 years ago) we camped 6 weeks in Italy and former Yugoslavia, and I only wanted to eat spaghetti when we went out for diner. Often with not so much ingredients it tasted the best I ever had. My mum said I was a very cheap 'customer', we ate at small family restaurants and had lots of fun.

Regarding running out of fuel,we used to have a small container ( about the size of a large water bottle or cantina and is insulated and closes tightly, not sure if you can get them in Italy) made specially for gas ,it did not last long but makes it possible to get to a gas station or a safer more convenient place to park the vehicle. Getting rid of mice is a very good idea as they can cause all kinds of diseases and or eat up anything they can. Your ability to make things amazes us every time. Beautiful woodshed; artful and fit for the purpose; and filled with logs to warm your hearth! I often say, “do it, like you mean it”-and you always do. (I have that same chainsaw.) Vongola such a happy, helpful companion, & after herding the wood splitter he deserved blueberries. I had a dog who ate blackberries off the vine-he was most happy with thornless ‘Chesterberries’ variety. Run-out-of-gas story: moving from Colorado to California, driving through isolated country. I noticed the prominent gas guage in the old, basic rental van had not moved one bit, needle should have moved some by then! Suddenly realized that I’d been looking at the ammeter (battery voltage monitor.) No civilization in sight. I held my breath until a lonely highway exit appeared, with nothing in the barren landscape but a tiny fuel depot made for contractors, no attendant nor store... Was lucky that it would accept a card for payment. The fuel guage I discovered to be tiny and unlabeled-but the prominent ammeter totally mimicked a typical gas guage, it too was unlabeled! (no battery icon, no ‘volts’ label, just a half crescent with analog needle indicator.).

You can sho shugi ban wood, run a chainsaw, and save squirrels in one vlog. Running out of gas is a small bump in life.
