It's sad how you can clearly see the quality start to go downhill in the 2010s and slowly but surely setting the bar in hell in the 2020s. The 80s and 90s dolls were adorable and wholesome and the 00s were absolutely stunning. But the newer dolls are just so, so cheap that it's obvious they're cutting corners everywhere. Intricate hairstyle are gone, the materials look cheap, the designs are very simplistic and there are little to no accessories. Shame.
You did a great job on this video and Congrats on acquiring the entire collection to date (even the ones that you don't really care for 😂). Happy Holidays to you and your family!
The 1990 doll is quintessential Barbie. Like she’s not just an amazing holiday Barbie but one of the best Barbie’s in general. She is the Barbie I think of when someone says her name. Big dress, big hair, big makeup and PINKKK 💖💕 I also LOVE the Holiday Barbie from my birth year 1998 and 1995 as well because I got her for Christmas one year, both are so so pretty 🩷
My favorite is 1994, because I've cosplayed her and I feel like now we have a special connection. But without that, I think it would be 1996. She's iconic.
My favorite is 1989. The second one. My grandmother bought her for me. She's special to me. I have most of these dolls but the quality has gone down. 2020 was the worst. A few of my dolls are African American because I thought they looked better and last years doll I got was the Asian doll. She is beautiful. Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄
This sent me back to my childhood! I got the 2010 holiday Barbie as my first one, I don’t have it anymore as it’s the only one I took out of the box but I have 2011 through like 2015 and still love them
I had the 1989 Holiday Barbie and it was a highlight for me as a kid. Very fond memories of her with the white fluffy and hair piece, just peak Barbie for me.
I wanted to say, I started collecting dolls this year (I have been subscribed to you for years because I have always loved Barbie) and I want to thank you for helping to make me more excited to collect dolls but your collection definitely filled that Barbie gap in my life when I didn't collect. Hope you have a lovely Christmas 🎄🎄🌸🌸
Owning a 1992 Holiday Barbie was one of my biggest dreams when I was a child... Buying her in a store was impossible so my talented dad painted her for me on cardboard... I was happy as if it was a real one... Maybe there are some prettier ones than her, but this one will remain the peak of my childhood dreams
I've got about 18 Holiday Barbies, mostly from the 80s and 90s. I've got them.all displayed around my living room as decor right now, along with a small silver tree covered in Barbie Hallmark ornaments. I've thrifted everything locally. I found the ornaments all at once this past July, for $5 each! 🔥🌞☃️🎄💋❄️👑❤️✨
I love an of the early holiday Barbies. I would love to get the early ones, especially the ones with the green dresses (that's my favorite color!) and get the 2015 and 2017 Barbies for my daughters' birth years!
The 2010’s dolls definitely lost a lot of creativity in their designs to me, but I like that they at least tried to bring back some spunk with the 2017 doll
❤This was 🤩 Joey! I think you may have inadvertently boosted holiday Barbie sales 😂 I really don't think I've seen 2010 before, how strange. I knew about the Mackie color variants but didn't know they came from Sears. I also like the reference to the shoes because I always run into an issue where I can't remember which were the original shoes for some dolls.
What a great presentation! It was obvious a lot of work went into that video.. I hope you have a wonderful holiday and that we will see a lot more of you next year!🎉
This is goals..well done! That glitter tulle on the first Barbie is iconic itself! N My gosh 1990 is stunning..very pink and 90s! A poll to vote our favorite would be fun!
I love them all up intil 2003, then I think I only like a few…the 90s with Superstar face are definitely my favs, it’s not just the stunning face but also the hair and the over the top designs 😍 Thank you for sharing all the dolls with us! ❤
My favourite outfits are the 1989 white with fur, the 1992 silver with beads, the 1994 (my birth year!) gold with white fur and holly and the 1998 black velvet with the fuschia wrap. 80s and 90s Barbie is my favourite, then again she is the one I used to play with as a very lucky child who inherited all of her older cousins' and sister's dolls :)
2019 is underrated. I think the candy cane dress is kind of fun. 2014 was the worst when she came out and she still is. I miss when we got winter themed Barbies too, not just holiday ones. Some of the winter dolls were better than the holiday dolls imo.
Definitely 2003, 2016 royal blue version doll is stunning I mean doll face...dress is just...ok (I wish you got the other two dolls to show) and 2018 are my favourite. By the way thank you for the video, well done.
It's insane how they went from gorgeous, collector level dolls with intricate details & giving "limited edition" vibes, to pretty basic dolls with cheap fabrics, bland designs, and poor details.
2003 is giving Jadis/White Witch and I love her for that. I double checked to see if maybe they were riding the coattails of The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe but no the movie released in 2005.
@Barbie_Millenium. It's a pity you are not able to use your brains in a proper way before you decide to leave a comment of this sort by here. It seems you did not understand what he said. And you do think you wrote a genius comment.
Some of these Barbie’s have amazing makeup, some that I would wear tbh. I would love to see a video of your favorite Barbie makeup looks of all time if you don’t have one already.
It's funny, the 1996 Holidays Barbie seems less overloaded to me than the previous ones (or the next one that literally has bow sleeves and lace) because it seems to me that its design has fewer striking elements and is more inspired by a Victorian-type Christmas aesthetic.
@@Aurora-qn2dxStella too! 😄 It will be so good if Joey make some content about all of the different companies that made Winx dolls. From Giochii and Mattel to Jacks and Witty.
My mom got me the 1990 doll when I was a little kid She wasn't a christmas gift because she knew I'd want to play with her, so instead she just appeared on a high shelf in my room lol. Looking at yours makes me realize just how badly she needs to be cleaned up. Sitting on a shelf OOB my entire childhood wasn't kind to her. She got a light dusting every so often but no deep cleans. When I moved out she was packed up in a box with my other collector Barbies from my childhood, and she hasn't been brought back out at all but I just know her dress doesn't look as classic Barbie pink as yours does.
When I was a kid, I received the 1994 doll for Christmas. I don’t know where it is now, but the gold doll will always have sentimental value. I really love the Bob Mackie doll from 2006. I like the Eastern European influence. However, I hate the Bob Mackie doll from 2005. The green Sears exclusive is slightly better. Other dolls that I like are 1991, 1996, 2008, 2009, and 2024. Other dolls that I do not like are 2013, 2016, and 2020.
1993 was the first ever holiday Barbie I saw in person at the store. Didn't like her,she looked like a pile of red tulle stuffed in a box.. I was into casual and poseable (gymnast) Barbies,so no wonder. Now that I look at your amazing collection.. 2002 and 2003 stand out to me ❤
I would rather Mattel try something different and unique (like the Bob Mackie dolls) than not trying at all when it comes to the holiday Barbies, cause at least they're memorable instead of boring.
No details either
All the Barbies have dropped in quality unfortunatly and this holiday line is the clearest proof.
Went from detailed glam to boring and cheap with a side of AI
You did a great job on this video and Congrats on acquiring the entire collection to date (even the ones that you don't really care for 😂). Happy Holidays to you and your family!
The early holiday barbies had so much pageantry. 1990 is my favorite 💖
🧡I would love to see a Ginger Holiday Barbie in a Green Gown!!!💚
I love when Barbie has purple eyes. The 1990 pink barbiecore is my personal fave
35:07 "a horrible doll for a horrible year" 🤣💯
Ugh! I cringed when Joey arrived to show the Holiday Barbie dolls of the early 2020s.
The 1990 doll is quintessential Barbie. Like she’s not just an amazing holiday Barbie but one of the best Barbie’s in general. She is the Barbie I think of when someone says her name. Big dress, big hair, big makeup and PINKKK 💖💕
I also LOVE the Holiday Barbie from my birth year 1998 and 1995 as well because I got her for Christmas one year, both are so so pretty 🩷
The dress from 1990, i bought in a second hand store when I was little. I didn't know it was a Holiday Barbie, but I loved it 🥰 ❤
I love the 2019 Candy Cane Holiday Barbie
The face on the 99 millennium Barbie is stunning she has a smirk look on her face i love
When you see these you really wonder for what exactly DESIGNERS at Mattel got paid in the last 15 years
3:31 Holiday Barbie 1990 is so stunning!
The 96 Barbie is beautiful looks like she is going out yes i agree a bit underwhelming the gold sounds like crackling crepe paper
All of these also came out as ornaments in the 90s with the same outfits. My sister and I played with them like toys
My Sister got those ornaments every year from her godmother. I remember being super jealous. lol
Omg someone else who played with their ornaments! Me and my sister did that too 😭
My favorite is 1994, because I've cosplayed her and I feel like now we have a special connection. But without that, I think it would be 1996. She's iconic.
I had '98, '99, '00 and '01 but sadly lost them all moving one year 😢 but I did recently purchase '24 holiday Barbie ❤
Happy holidays 🎄
I want 2024 Holiday Barbie
My favorite is 1989. The second one. My grandmother bought her for me. She's special to me. I have most of these dolls but the quality has gone down. 2020 was the worst. A few of my dolls are African American because I thought they looked better and last years doll I got was the Asian doll. She is beautiful. Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄
My little sister's school gave her some 90s' holiday Barbies and I thought they were so pretty!
Dang I wish I went to that school xD
I always thought all the modern Barbie’s look the same but after this video I realized that each design nowadays is still fairly different and unique
That 2006 Barbie reminds me of Slavic dolls with the crown, dark colour and the embroidery.
The transition from 2004 to 2005, with you just silently holding the Bob Mackie doll and looking into the camera, made me burst out laughing!!!
This sent me back to my childhood! I got the 2010 holiday Barbie as my first one, I don’t have it anymore as it’s the only one I took out of the box but I have 2011 through like 2015 and still love them
My favorite are the 80s and 90s , my childhood

8:15 I have the 1994 Holiday Barbie doll, ornament, and stocking hook
My mom and I have the AA version of 2004. Stunning doll!🙌🏾
The oldest ones are spectacular 🤩
the 2002 barbie is gorgeous
Your nail polish looks so nice! That’s a beautiful color!
Ew - it reminds me of the Grinch.
Yes, very pretty.
@@laureencriss8220Only grinch here is you with that attitude
@@KingOfGaymes Because it's the color of the Grinch? It is. To me, it's gross. You have your opinion, I have mine.
love 😍the 1991 Barbie, the velvety gown and beaded/sequin bodice is gorgeous,

Happy Holidays 🎄❤️💚🤍to you Joey 😊 watching from Philippines 🇵🇭 MABUHAY!! My favorite is the Holiday Barbie 1997 brunette
I think 1996 is underrated.. that fur and velvet looks very rich and pretty.
I love the 98 holiday Barbie Doll beautiful Doll black and hot pink collar
1990 and 1998 are my favourites. Love the hot pink. Thank you for showing us your treasures. Merry Christmas!
I have the 97 brunette holiday Barbie Doll
The first doll must have sold really well considering they are still making them. I think thus line is really fun. ❤
Holiday Barbie from 2022 is A M A Z I N G ! Completely agree with you 😍🥰 Stunning
The 2010’s dolls definitely lost a lot of creativity in their designs to me, but I like that they at least tried to bring back some spunk with the 2017 doll
Thanks for another great video! I love candy cane Barbie too, she's so creative and cute.
I love 2020 Barbie
2005 Bob Mackie also had a green version :)
❤This was 🤩 Joey!
I think you may have inadvertently boosted holiday Barbie sales 😂

I had the 1988 holiday one for 49 cents at Goodwill 2 years ago.
Others I had were the 89', 91',93',and 99' Holiday Barbies.
What a great presentation! It was obvious a lot of work went into that video.. I hope you have a wonderful holiday and that we will see a lot more of you next year!🎉
for Christmas this year I got myself a handmade crocheted doll based on the doll Bluey received in the show. I adore my Bartlebee doll.
This is goals..well done! That glitter tulle on the first Barbie is iconic itself! N My gosh 1990 is stunning..very pink and 90s! A poll to vote our favorite would be fun!

some feel like play dolls where others are definitely display/ collectibles
It's insane how they went from gorgeous, collector level dolls with intricate details & giving "limited edition" vibes, to pretty basic dolls with cheap fabrics, bland designs, and poor details.
Wow 2017 really impressed me
Let's talk about your nails for a moment! They're amazing and this colour compliments your skintone ❤🔥❤🔥
2003 is giving Jadis/White Witch and I love her for that. I double checked to see if maybe they were riding the coattails of The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe but no the movie released in 2005.

I just purchased 1990 off of ebay yesterday I just had to haha. She is so extra, ❤ it!!!! 😁

The hair accessory of the first one 1988...needs something of care....reposition it a little bit behind on her head.....not on her forehead😅😅
Merry Christmas Joey ❄️☃️
