Hilariously, they actually addressed this in the latest EPTU patch....in New Babbage.
To be a little bit fair, that glare wouldn't have been there if the person playing the demo hadn't had the flashlight on though. You can see clearly through the demo that whoever is playing is using a flashlight and forgets to turn it of when there's light.

Nah, I'm a Star Citizen supporter and even I am completely honest enough to know that Chris, the team, and everyone who has ever given money have to take this video on the chin. It's pretty much true. This is "GAME" of Thrones Donation Edition. You Develop or you Die. If you can't get a chuckle out of this then you've forgotten it's just a video game.

Duuuude! I'm in tears. Such a good roast. But, I will say, I invested in it because it wasn't going to be a copy paste game. Even if it fails, which I don't think it will, I'll not regret throwing some money at SC and SQ42. But, man... That was some accurate satire.
When I gave 30 euros back in 2013 I could easily afford to lose the money to possibly get the game of my dreams. I've since spent more money and still don't have the completed game of my dreams but I don't regret a single penny spent. As it stands right now I've had the value out of my investment ten times over. I love the game/project and I love to laugh about it too. Awesome video! 😂😂

@imjohnfreeman It can't go on forever, not releasing. Especially SQ42. They are making progress, but it's painfully slow.
I recently loaded up X-Wing alliance up with the Upgrade project mod, and I'm loving it. But, I am missing the controls of Star Citizen in it. Just things like being able to move horizontally and vertically make a big difference in controlling the craft. If SQ42 has the complex and diverse missions of the Xwing series, but in the engine SC has now, it would be a hit. Provided it was stable.
I actually came to this realization. The game will potentially never full release because what they are constantly selling is the HOPE that one day the game will be perfect enough to be released. And it's just not possible. It can constantly be added onto, improved, and reworked infinitely. But, if they full released it, that's it. That's the game any anything else is an addon. Whereas, if it stays in alpha, you can keep investing in the vision and not feel cheated. They're maters of selling hopium. It's genious really.

They're for sure going to be working on this game until the money dries up, no doubt about it, but there's no way they'll keep the alpha label forever if the money doesn't dry up any time soon. Like any other MMO they'll be selling a live service. Never complete, but also not unfinished.

We had a great Citizen Con, and I feel like this is the perfect moment for that kind of funny thing because if it came out a month before, we'd probably still be salty about the lack of progress on Star Citizen and it would have hit the nail on the head but in a much more depressing way.

I'm patient and have NEVER complained about how long it's taking. So many players can't grasp what it takes to make a game with EVERYTHING in it. They give examples of other games that were made in less time and money, but are missing many features that other games have. Then another game comes along with new features, but lacks so many others.
Star Citizen will be everything. That everything, takes so much longer to accomplish. Star Citizen is not, never was and never will be a SCAM. To those STILL saying this, we all pity you and we also know, you will change your tune when it's "finished".

Cyberpunk is great now, worth a try, refund through GoG if you hate it. Actually a dope ass game, killer visuals, fun ass gameplay, and mostly good dialogue.
Starfield on the other hand... Yeah. 10 years in a tenured studio and we got a dated loading screen simulator. Star Citizen is doing amazing by comparison.

funny video but ngl I don't even want a new wing commander. As someone who backed in 2020 I want this game, the most ambitious space game ever made. If Chris had cut his vision short and packaged the game we would have had starfield. Completely underwhelming and forgettable game that no one will talk about in 2 years. Props to Chris and CIG for sticking to his vision no matter how long it takes.

He hasn't though - this is not the vision he talked about back in 2013-2014 at the early SC events.
He has modified it and expanded it far too many times due to constant "I want"'s from backers (especially the PvP crowd).

Hilarious and well deserved but obviously not true. The game will come out and I know that we are closer than ever. I'm not so jaded that I can't see the writing on the wall, but I also knew and honest conference was coming for this game. It was well deserved for starfield and Diablo 4 before the one for star citizen. They earned this, but hopefully will deliver a better game than those two pieces of absolute mediocrity.

Look; we are not enemies. We both love Star Citizen. I backed it when it had just come out as an idea. I have 'lifetime insurance' on a couple ships and I didn't even spend much money. I have gotten a tertiary education, change careers twice, and have 6 children since Star Citizen was a kickstarter.
Any rational person with even a semblance of healthy cynicism has to realize that there is no reason to release a game when you're making money already, worse than that, possibly more money than if you did release it.
I appreciate the statement about new tech, etc. But so do other games. I appreciate not releasing a game until it is finished (see: Cyberpunk) but at a certain point you have to realize there is no motivation to actually have an official release any time soon. It's just a basic calculation of financial motivations.
If people stop giving them money - the game will come out FASTER.
If you do not share this opinion then SC has become more than just a game to you - it has become nearly an object of worship because of the degree of faith required.
