Yes the scene is a masterpiece. Amy Sherman Palladino is a genius the way this scene was shot the movement of the camera the music everything perfect. Ive been reading her book. All three of her shows Gilmore Girls, Bunheads and Maisel love them all.
This scene makes me cry. I watched this a couple weeks after my 10 yr relationship ended. And he left so I was alone moving everything out of the place we lived in and created so many memories.
21 years ago my mother lost the house that she bought after she got back from the Gulf war. 21 years later I moved back into my neighborhood across the street from the house I grew up in. I get terrified because I see what she sees. All those memories from all those years and at 1 place and then they intersect with The time I moved in as a child to when I moved out as a teen. I look at my old house every day and I never quite knew how to feel until I saw this. I can't help but feel emotional because I know exactly how she feels.
Hands down my favorite Barbra S song I've ever heard. The montage is SO POWERFUL! I have watched it sooooo many times. Always teary and lip-syncing with all my heart!!!
I just understand how stupid and ungrateful Joel’s character was in the first seasons. Like how could you not realise how lucky you are to have a wife like midge, live in a beautiful apartment and have two kids with her
this is THE best scene. just period. ever created. ever
Completely agree, this scene with that song are so devastating and heartbreaking.

This is the BEST opening I’ve seen on a television series

My favorite scene from the entire world!!! I could literally cry watching this. Barbra Streisand + Mrs. Maisel... my heart and soul forever! My idols.
Does anyone else love their apartment door?! I love their apartment more than Abe’s and Roses!
The best opening ever
Definitely one of the most favourite scene and thank a lot for all who created this incredible show!)
OHHHH MY GOD I want that apartment...

When I think about the 1950s and early 1960s, this clip is what I imagine
I bet Havana in the 50's was a hell of a party.
But as straight white male, with an open mind all that you had to face was the cold war scares, which is fine i guess..
