@Pill-Cosby Well they fixed the P1 advantage which I wasn't even aware of just thought I was dropping Kombos when in P2 in Kombat League lol But other than that I haven't ran into a ton of issues just some lag and latency issues which does play a big role in higher ranked tiers
I'm a Li Mei main and I gotta tell you, she's really fun to play. Shame she's underrated, also I've been playing online since September 14th and haven't encountered one yet.
You barely see any Li meis, kitanas and Shangs as of now I think Tanya is probably used just a tad bit more than Shang, Kitana and Li mei but I could be wrong about that

It's really never completely new to them. Like how you relearn things faster than you first learn them. Sonic is really just adjusting to each character rather than actually learning them

Titaniumtiger is the first Kenshi player I've seen that actually imitates Sonic's strategy for Kenshi, but you can tell they drop their combos, mistime Sento, etc.

Serves a lot of players well for just sticking with the easier characters to play/win with. I genuinely feel like players are gonna get a rude awakening when characters they once thought were bottom tier ends up dominating them because no one wants to study the rest of the game.

Wonder if he's seen anyone use her floating orbs to air combo like crazy. Its like a pop-up/air attack/orb/attack/orb hits with pop-up/air attack/orb/air attack/last orb hits/finish combo. That might not be correct but it's close and I've seen someone do it with her and the life lead is crazy each time since it's 400+ depending on landing them all.
Do you have to manually edit each gore moment for YT with that filter? NRS should add an option to turn on "content creation friendly mode" to do that automatically. What a pain. This game is amazing, there are so many cool interesting characters and they are all very fun. SF6 was good, but comparing it to this its definitely lacking. Not enough cool looking characters, some of them are lame/not fun, music isn't great, graphics are kind of weird, small roster, DLC is one character at a time while MK1 is like 5... MK is definitely pulling my attention way more now.
Yeah same opinion, SF caught my attention but it will never be like Mortal kombat, the characters themselves are just infinitely superior and then there’s the lore wich is pretty interesting, and of course the graphics wich in SF6 looks cool but then when you do some moves a colorful paint comes out and thats trash as hell

that kenshi player is good, he blocked all of li mei's instant overheads and also used the fatal blow to go through her projectile i havent heard anyone mention this, but li mei's ex cartwheel kick is 6 frames, instead of the normal 7, which means that she can launch punish down 1 on block. which is amazing

As an OG MK fan and self-proclaimed purist, I definitely have to retract a few of my initial impressions of this game - especially now owning it and having watched a ton of the pros create magic with an endless array of characters. Firstly, this game is jaw dropping...I didn't think that there was coming back from MK4 and beyond, with a lot of the gimmicky and cringe-worthy instalments, especially in the 3D era. I can appreciate those who have a cult-like following for those games, and consider them to be sleepers, but nothing compared to the 2D fighting style that I feel was perfected around MK3 (UMK3 finally putting together an acceptable roster), with the advent of the combo systems. X was nice, I played a bit, but lost interest quick...and once I saw leaks of MK1, I was hooked as it pays homage to the old, but in a beautiful package that is finally suitable for next-gen hardware. I did scoop 11 at basically a steal on PS Plus to tide me over (it was $12 for the Ultimate variation), but once you actually get a hold of 1 in all it's graphically exquisite glory, paired with a capable TV and sound setup, you start to appreciate what NR has done and the thought that went into this game...almost feels like no stone was unturned and players will continue to uncover new things as it evolves (especially with DLC) for years to come...it really is that special. Anyways, a short post now turning into a pseudo-review (although I do send my sincere condolences to the Switch owners as I own a Switch, but am not limited to just that for this game, thank the heavens above), but the PS5 version, as I am sure the others sans Switch, are beautiful and really sold me on the whole Kameo thing. Initially, my old head stubbornness to just naturally reject anything new based on past allegiance, had me questioning not its inclusion, but the decision to have it as permanent, and not a player's choice. It makes sense now; it makes for an endless amount of permutations and just overall creative control for the user, which lends to the boundless variations of gameplay from the pros (which I hope to even scratch the surface of). I think if I were to borrow a few of the terms thrown around pretty regularly in the gaming community, which I have inadvertently nudged my way back in over the build-up and eventual release of this one (which was a gift, no less), I'm pretty sure, especially with the awesome displays already from Sonic and other beastmode players who low-key made the beta-available characters seem broken months ago, that every single character has complete and utter ability to be broken...essentially shattered into a million pieces, and I think that's where you will see some of the outside the box defensive attempts at nerfing some of these guys (and gals) for months, years and a crapload of tournaments to come. I will be watching, and playing...for now, I will stay in the outworld shadows and traverse the story mode and dust off some of my "back in the day" skillset to try to keep up with the new gen (which already seems impossible), but look forward to just being witness of all of the hidden gems and goodies I am almost certain will surface as time passes...gang up job, Ed and team...if you enjoyed my dissertation, and read this damn far, I salute you....and I guess I am sorry....there is no real TLDR here other than this game is the best thing since MK(1), and it's fitting that it's named MK....One... drustill is the handle for any other PS5 users who want to be subjected to my terrible gameplay, but equally blessed with my literary prowess which I am sure tickles your intellectual being in places that have yet to fondled....terrible choice of words, but it is what it is....Cheers, and if you really don't like it, then do yourself a favour and read this in full: ...see more
I think that any character that a good player uses, let alone SonicFox, is going to be awesome. I have to admit, it is funny to see SonicFox get a little bit pounded by Kenshi / Sento.

True Ive used her with Sonya since prerelease it’s tough. Her range is short on most normals including Down 2, mediocre mixup, and one of the worst armor moves in the game.

I think that any character that a good player uses, let alone SonicFox, is going to be awesome. I have to admit, it is funny to see SonicFox get a little bit pounded by Kenshi / Sento.

True Ive used her with Sonya since prerelease it’s tough. Her range is short on most normals including Down 2, mediocre mixup, and one of the worst armor moves in the game.
