How would you say the quality of life of being in as a master at arms in the navy is? 24 years old and have been thinking about enlisting for too long now.

That answer can vary widely based on where you're stationed. If you're in Japan or Spain the fact that you're somewhere amazing for work is incredible but there are also places you may be sent to that aren't exactly vacation spots.
I'd say the time flies by, your co-workers are everything, an average day here is a million times better than my last job (but my last job was awful) and we just try to make the best out of whatever we got.
If you stay basic NSF it can get repetitive but if you get quals and move into different areas like harbor or k9 or something you'd prefer it can get a lot more interesting.

@@HaedenBeckappreciate the response brother, would you say boot camp is not something to work yourself up about. It’s probably inevitable to have nerves before the night of arrival and during p days but how difficult would you say getting through the 10 weeks is?

@@Bickmyster The guys at the recruiting office told me just get through the first week and you'll be fine and I repeat the same to you. You get used to the environment and how stuff works and after a while you got friends and the RDCs slowly treat you better by the end. Looking back boot camp and A school will feel like a magical simple time compared to the actual job which is more routine and predictable by that point. All my favorite Navy days are at RTC and Lackland.
