Then I live an hour outside Cleveland so discovered him before he made a name for himself with Wild boy. I personally prefer MGK's music more. At least to me, it's more relatable. It's more unique in the sense MGK is more diverse. Even before he went rock, his music style was broad. One track would be rock/rap mix, the next track a pop song, then followed by a hood banger. So I appreciate his diversity. Then finally, I just think MGK's voice and music is more audibly pleasing. As far as the beef, I think MGK won. He made rap devil 2 days after Kamikaze dropped, but took em like 3 weeks to reply. MGK came with facts, where Em basically just flexed that he's richer, more popular and a better rapper. Then compound the fact that MGK, who's career should have been "killed", only got bigger and more popular. It just makes Em's diss seem even more irrelevant. He definitely didn't pull a Ja Rule on him lol

I have never disliked comparisons between Rap Devil and Killshot, what hurts me is when people judge the two for what they aren't. They are disses, not songs. In diss songs one needs to say truthful offensive shit, things that make the opponent look worse. I grew up listening to Eminem, and became a major fan of MGK after rap devil, because while Killshot was full of double meanings and lyrically complex bars, there was nothing that took away from Rap Devil and MGK. I do believe that Killshot was the better written one, but not a word in it made me look at MGK and think "Really? He is that kind of person? That's fucked up." MGK had the better disses, and that's not even my opinion, every single rapper and commentator of hip hop has said that Rap Devil was a better diss track.
