well said. Its true anyone can spin records, but only those who have the passion for it can become good enough to entertain people with it. Thanks for checking out my channel! And Thanks for inventing it all :)

Flash, you just made my night. It's what I've been trying to explain to people for YEARS. Thank you from a long time fan.

fruity loops, ableton, protools. buy a program and call yourself a producer these days. sans mpc, motif, turntables, etc. "producers" are becoming just as diluted as DJs so slow your roll. there's no need for the hate, everyone is on the same team.

Words from the wise. Teach them Flash. They dont know that back in the 70"s when we were spinning in the streets if you didnt move the crowd they threw bottles and garbage cans at you and your equipment. I was spinning music for block parties in Bed Stuy, Brownsville, East New York, Cambria Heights Queens etc. Thats when it was fun! I still spin for the love of it. Spinning since 1977. The Grandwizard Dj Vinny Love. Peace.

superb answer i shall be quoting this when these idiots at gigs are telling me to play this and that and saying this song or that song will work the crowd when they know nothing, also there are too of these dime a dozen djs who dont know anything, its easy to go to a gig with a million tunes but if you dont know how to use them you are FUCKED, im tired of explaining to people that there is more than just them in the room. well done flash couldnt have put it any better myself

Even a 5 yr old can be a pretty good "producer" in a couple of days. I hate it when people confuse producers with bedroom producers.

I always wanted to become a Dj and create something outta nothing...I don't know I always thought it was cool how you could just make music outta others tracks and just go crazy with it, I played Dj hero and pretty much maxed out a lot of the songs on the highest difficulty because I liked the djing world....but I don't have anyone that could teach me....I hope I could learn to do stuff like you do grand master flash someday

So are you saying this man didn't earn his place in the rock and roll hall of fame? If so, I don't think you should do a lot of talking, because it's mostly only when you talk that you show the world how ignorant you actually are, have some respect for yourself man. Allow me to explain just what you're saying by stating that comment. You're saying that is like saying the rest of the world doesn't know what they are talking about seeing as he's in the rock and roll hall of fame. This is art.

@housemartin44444 I disagree... djs who don't make music are just having fun with the music they like. nothing wrong with that, right? At least it takes MUCH more skill than playing 'rap' music in a playlist at a party :P and djs who do make music? they aren't overated, its just that people like their music.
