The dog looks so scared and you’re not very gentle or kind to this pup. Dogs need to be treated with gentle hands & kind voices. I hope a groomer doesn’t act this way with my Shishon as grooming needs to be a positive & kind experience.
Agreed. If I ever find out my puppy’s groomer is grooming my Shichon while using a harsh tone and brushing her ears so roughly, I’ll be firing her. My sweetie goes every 6-7 weeks and does not freak out when she’s picked up so hopefully all is going well behind the scenes. That poor pup seems to be relieved when this was over. As was I.
I have a zuchon she’s 1 and has long top knot. Good job on this dog of course whatever the owner wants but for me I would have been crying if my baby’s coat was cut this short😢.
She should get a strap for the back end to hold the dog up, and calm the dog somehow... I have seen too many scared dogs on here, and they either ignore it or muzzle them, both don't help the situation. The dog is still scared. She is going to end up getting bit, and the poor dog will get blamed... Hope the owner has a coat or a good thick sweater for that dog.... Shaving the poor dog in the middle of winter....
Are you a professional dog groomer?? Dede has been in this business along time and deals with dogs with anxiety, aggression, disabilitys etc if people actualy bothered to train their dogs, and brush their dogs, and get their dogs used to other people grooming them they wouldn't be shit feart.
Do you know ANY dog that doesn’t shake when they are in a different situation, especially one similar to the vets; I.e. table, tools, etc? It’s Texas. And if it’s anything like Florida, it’s hot...most of the time. DeDe is an excellent groomer. Save your breathe on bad mouthing her.
You don't really know what you're talking about. Dede grooms dogs that no other groomers will groom BECAUSE they're too scared or reactive. Some groomers will turn dogs away for anything they don't want to deal with, even if it's disagreeing over the right haircut for a dog. It's their right. Dede doesn't turn dogs away. She is honest with people about what can and can't happen, but she doesn't turn away dogs that are difficult to groom.
Heathen Wolf If you start at the beginning of her RUclips videos you will see how much she teaches. I have a lot of respect for her. Dogs are going to get upset. She works with the owners and explains how they should take care of the dogs. Many of the dogs that she grooms on video are examples on how bad things can get, when you ignore fur/hair maintenance. I know I have learned so much from her. How to make my dog comfortable, what to expect from a groomer, how treat my groomer and how to walk away from a bad groom. Most of all how to be a responsible pet owner. How just feeding and dressing a dog to look cute is not all there is. I have a Maltipoo and he needs brushing I did not realize how much until I watched her RUclipss. She turn me into an informed pet owner. I thank her for that. Please if you have the time watch and listen to what she has to say.
I've watched a bunch of these with obviously frightened, I'll at ease dogs. She never takes a minute or two to pet them or let them know what she's going to do. So sad.
Yes! I am a groomer and I always try to be affectionate to my clients fur babies. I treat them as my own. I know the whole experience is already scary enough so I want them to feel better. Probably why I very rarely have to use a muzzle. Dede uses them way too often!
That poor dog looks so scared, I feel bad for it. Maybe try calming it down, then otherwise I hope you get treated like that. No dog deserves that treatment. You should be fired.. dog upstand more like dog downstand
I have a Teddy Bear who looks much like this one. However, I like to bring him in every 3-4 weeks and just get a long scissor cut on him. I LOVE his fluff although it does mean brushing at least once a day.🙂🙂That is just my preference though!
Great job! I have one he’s 10. Their faces are tricky to groom but you did fantastic! They are unique for sure with the coats and features. Teddy bears ❤️
Lady, if that were my little one ... we would have a real problem to deal with. BTW I see you use the same clippers on your hair. Sorry, that wasn't nice, but I don't think you are either.
Hi dede, sorry for my english that is no good In what material is the dog stand up, plastic, metal ... Can i install a little matress for keeping it warmer
Please don't take your dog to a groomers shop, hire a groomer that will go to your home to groom your dogs so you can actually see how they groom your dog so your fur baby isn't being treated like absolute shit.
Did you notice the difference in that dog's attitude when you started telling her she was being a good girl you should have done that with the first shave...
Clearly the people commenting about her being rough with the dogs are not groomers. There is a reason we ask you to drop your dog off and not stick around. Groomers have to maintain a firm handle with the pup throughout the grooming, otherwise the pup can walk all over you and the groom is over. Groomers love dogs and some just get into what they do and when you are grooming 15 dogs a day you tend to get a little robotic with it. Give her a break and educate yourself on the basics of grooming before coming at her for no reason. Otherwise, do not own dogs that require crazy amounts of grooming.
I thought the video shows a groomer treating the dog like a stuffed animal. Just a job. I dont think the dog will remember this experience as okay. You were detached from the dog until he showed you some affection, I think out of nervousness. You didnt show gentleness, just get the job done.
What ever happened to using the term Mutts for mix breed dogs, it used to never offend anyone. They don't need "Designer names" What's up with the bald spot on her chest and around her neck? Dogs do not go bald as they age like humans do, she's a mix breed of 2 breeds both with double coats, and always being shaved, so now she's getting bald areas due to her undercoat not ever growing back properly (and people swear shaving down dogs doesn't ruin their fur, especially in a double coated breed)

The pup’s ok. She’s yawning which means she’s relaxed. lol at that face. I love it.

That's a lot of work and you deserve every penny you charge!
Yes, please tell us what number combs you are using
Wow poor dog. Change that noisy clipper lady!! There are better one right now that pretty much silent.

Heathen Wolf Just wanna say, Dede IS an amazing groomer! Plz watch some more vids and you will see.

ma'am can you please be much more gentle and calm the dog. you are showing no care for the lovely fur baby.
Is this a hair cut or the poor dog is being shaved?

i agree
Actually, you did a great job
Also, do you bathe the dog first and blow dry?
Why do you not bathe and blow dry before cutting? The clean hair would sit better and wouldn't wear your clippers down as quickly.
Because it takes more time, shampoo and drying to do hair that will be cut off anyway...
This woman was being too rough on the dog. Be more gentle when you groom them!
What number comb are you using?
Why are you so rough with the poor dog 😳
That poor dog is alive not a stuffed toy which is the way your treating it...your cruel and in the wrong job 😡

oups mattress or cushion or pillow to keep it warm
What blade(s) would you use if the client has a Zuchion and asks you they dont want it as bald as the one in the video? :)
I love your channel! I bought the Kong Zoomgroom and the Furminator from your online store to groom my malamute perfectly! ❤
Such a pretty, sweet little baby. Good job on her.

Can the blade cut their skin? The reason I'm asking. I took my Schichon to her groomer. When I picked her up. She had a lump on the top of her head.
What gorgeous hair he had, but he's cute this way too.
Cute baby!

I love your Dog Up Stand logo !
What was the last guard you used? The one around his nose area?
How about the nail trim vid? Sooooo waiting. 😊
Em Thank you, I will look for it.
Anyone else notice the dog is shaking?
Most small dogs like this one shake, almost constantly. Whether they're being groomed or not.
@@chubbygmergf2265 why
What of it..all 3 of my poodles shake at the groomer and I'M THE GROOMER!
They ALL shake, at ANY groomer and even if you groom them at home!! My dogs shake if I say the word bath! Hahaha!!
@@chubbygmergf2265 Not constantly unless they were not socialized properly or have an anxiety issue caused by abuse or neglect
Dede, is that a 7 or 7F?
Looks like a 7f x
I would fire you

Hi dede, sorry for my english that is no good

You've probably answered this before but I'm wondering why you groom the dog, then wash, and then groom again?

Ugh the worst haircut ever
Not very nice to the poor wee dog. needs to go slower and more gently. I would be happy if my dog was treated like that

Eww why cut all his hair off? Now hes not fluffy and cute.🙄
