I have watched most of her videos and they are usually short and show the techniques which she uses. Many other grooming videos are long and talk too much! She is gentle with the little dogs and seems to love her work. I think that her grooming business is very fulfilling and satisfies an inner need to help dogs realize they are special.
Since Cova 19 I haven’t been able to get my shitzu groomed. But, I bought a grooming kit to do it myself and your video by far is the best one I have seen. No I’m more comfortable doing it myself. Thanks for the video 😊
I learned to groom my 3 adorable little Shih Tzu by watching these videos and also watching the groomers at PetSmart through the big window in their store. I found really good deals on all the equipment needed on Amazon and now, 9 years later I know that I will always do my own grooming at home and enjoy the bonding time with them. As with any learned activity, each time becomes better and to me, it is so fulfilling. Also I buy shampoo and conditioner concentrate at Walmart. It is a super deal and I have heard from many in the business that the brand "Mane 'n Tail" is among the best. It has been around for more than 70 years, so it must be good. Also, my vet told me that many of the expensive special purpose shampoos don't really work as well as advertised.
Such a pleasure to learn from, and what a professional groom that was. Better for none of that rattle some people give. Wish you were on my doorstep to do my little one. Only comment I would make is that it would be nice to know the tools to use, and where/when, otherwise, spot on.👍👍
With my shih tzu I love to leave much more hair between the eyes, just helps give them a fluffy teddy bear look. Keep it trimmed back, but not overly so. For the ears, I prefer them to be rounded and textured a bit (long or short is cute to me haha). Groomers no matter what just cut them a bit too blunt for my liking 🥵 And for the mouth and brows I do keep it trimmed back. The mouth cuz food gets all over em 🙄 and the brows (only slightly trimmed back) just enough so its not all spiked like crazy hair 😂 Those thinning shears are also a life saver, they are an absolute must. Makes grooming feel safer.
Very good tutorial...you are so gentle and methodical. What a good pup, too! I have seen some horrific videos on grooming that have really upset me. How do I report these abusers that call themselves "groomers"? Also I have a three month old Shorkie. How do I go about grooming him and making him cooperate?
Hi I use whal hair trimmers the proper one for dog's it comes with 4cutting attachments 4 sizes but they don't cut like the one's being used here can I replace the plastic cutters for metal one's because you have made it look so easy I find myself keep going over her body and she gets stressed I brought these brand new and only used twice any suggestions please.
Also my two won’t stand or keep still. At the moment they only have a short back and sides 🤣🤣 they won’t let me near their legs or faces without a struggle. Any tips appreciated. Treats don’t help either.
Great job on the grooming! What kind of shears are those? Name brand. I groom my dogs at home...And what brush do you use before grooming? I like how fluffy they get
Hi there, your videos are fantastic so first off thank you for sharing your talent! Is it best to use a blade on a shitzu rather than a comb attachment? Please could you tell me which comb attachment would be good for a dog of this length. I’m new to grooming and have a shitzu cross in the salon next week with this hair type. Thank you!
Heres what i do with my 5 month old...i grab a big hunk of hair after 8 minutes of her squirming and me saying dont bite, and when i distract her with a comb or a toy, i slice off the hair between her eyes or her back, etc...and say mission accomplished lol!
Omg. My Shih Tzu is a little land shark. I brush/comb/clean his face and eyes every day and trim his face weekly! I dont know how my groomer tolerates him. He wiggles all over! My Scotties💕💕 are great! But this little Shih does not lack confidence! I just adore him❤️ and hope to do his groom more extensively!
Dogs also pant when they are getting nervous or upset. If it's a strange surrounding, panting is a way of saying "I don't like this," without being bitten right off the bat. Stiff, shaking, panting, eye darting, and cowering are few more examples. Professional groomers have lots of smells and equipment combined with being placed on a tall surface. A lot of animals not familiar or comfortable have these common signs of nerves.
You make it nice, like ever. I am Groomer in germany, how much money take you for a Grooming like this in your Country? I don't know if you want tell that and other thing,I dont understand really why you dont use better Scissors and better machine. Of course you work good with your instruments. It's not a critic, only a question.
This scissors are one of my favourite and I dont think that they are cheap. I worked with Kenchii or Chris Christensen - very expensive scissors but I dont' like them, too heavy for me.
PetGroooming What I said,it was not a criticism, really not. Kenchii is to heavy? Geib Katana is for me to heavy. Kenchii is not heavy,I have the K.Shinobi, but I am not impressed, she can be better but is light. She worked one or two weeks good. CC I don't testet until now. You are not impressed from CC.? Next I want try is Sensei. Have a good weekend.
no, no, no. no shavers on a shih tzu. just comb, wash, comb, trim around butt and paw pads and you're done. I don't know where this shaving a shih tzu comes from. I get it if you live in a hot area, but then why get a long haired dog?
So many videos on RUclips shaving Shih Tzu's,few on show groom.I learnt from practice and practice how to groom mine so he's not too long but not shaved or puppy cut either, just somewhere in the middle
Just a quick note. Even if you would give water he would not take it. Yes he is panting cause as humans they get nervous. 1. The place smell different. 2, they dont know you. 3.there is a buzzing feeling on his skin. As a groomer you work as fast as you can so that the baby can go back home where it is comfortable
Im sooo to say this but.. is this video made in the US? In my 30 years of Grooming and teaching Ive never seen a groomer make so many mistakes. (Minus the head and face) Thiis not how you groom a shihtzu or any dog. New groomers please dont follow.
You are so gentle and patient. I have seen other groomers that made me cry..so rough and unpleasant to dog. Thank you !!
What a well behaved little puppy. Adorable face.
This is the best calm groom I’ve watched.
Thank you for sharing
By far the best grooming video I’ve seen 💖

Ohhh 😯 this dog looks exactly like mine 🥰👍🐾

Beautiful groom!! 🙂🙂💙💙👏👏
You were so gentle! Thank you for the video. I am trying to learn to groom my own Shih tzu. ❤️😁
So peaceful to watch! Looks like you're gentle with the dog so that means a lot! Thanks for the tips!

Lovely job of grooming.. They have the most dear little face, I have one and he is just gorgeous

Looks like the dog is thinking, "hey this ones nice. She's not hurting me at all."
What do you think to the ppl that groom your dog that there all mean?
Great job on the grooming! What kind of shears are those? Name brand. I groom my dogs at home...And what brush do you use before grooming? I like how fluffy they get
Congratulations ,you did a Great job...!
from Paris- France
Just got my table waiting on scissors ... I thank you for putting this video out😎🤛😎
What about all the hairs in mouth. My shitz gets hair in her mouth and gags. Do u cut it with scissors ?
What brand chunkers & thinners do you use? I can’t find any that work.
those look like chunkers on the face not the thinning shears rose line as listed, is that correct, thanks a lot!!

can you recommend someone in Wichita Kansas to groom my shihpoo??
Are you using clipper without a comb for the body. Hard to see
That is a oster 3 speed. It does not word the same as human clippers. The blade 7f is actually the comb she has on.
Beautiful ❤️
Awww! Him was nervous. I’m sure my my dog acts the same way.
Thank you for this!❤️❤️
What are the purple blending shears you are using?
easy cut
Those purple blenders/chunkers are not listed under details and are not rose lines...what are they please?
Easy Cut Amethyst
So cute great job hun
Do you change blades during grooming or use any kind of cooling spray? Thanks.
I change blades and use cooling spray of course too
Woww you are really good
Der sieht richtig glücklich aus 😬
Where did you get that grooming top? :)
So kawaii !! 💜💜💜💜

Qual é o número da lâmina que está utilizando ???
Look at description or ask in Ensglish
She said what is the number of the blade you are using. Sheesh.
Dice que es una 7f en la descripción
Is that Roxy?
Awww
Love to look at shi tzu grooming, but its never in Dutch.
Why is it shivering in the beginning?
The whole time -- my shih tzu shivers all the time. Nerves or excitement mostly :)
Doggy cute
What Its the machine
look at description
tauriel tabell z
He is shaking. Poor baby.
Ya dog kidhar milta ha
why does that doggy look thirsty and scared? Is that normal? I've never taken my dog to get professional grooming. that's why I'm wondering
yes it is normal, dogs are afraid of drying, bath, water, groomer etc...

It’s that dog named Max?
Why do you use your thinking shears so much? What's the difference like on the top of the head in using those vs your regular scissors?
thinning shears give a natural shape, regular scissors gives sharp edge
PetGroooming fantastic..thank you so much for the reply
💋💋💋☘️

Yes I know it wasn't criticizm. I tested Kenchii Scorpion - too heavy for me and uncomfortable and Chris Christensen Jasmine - in my opinion no :)
Poor dog is shaking

She would shave my dog cuz its hot in the summer
Give the dog a break! Is scared out of breath some water ! Unprofessional,!

Can you elaborate on what she did that is not correct and what you would do differently? I am a new groomer. Thanks
