I have a different build of this deck not solely focused on combing out. I like to run big stuff like ulamog, genesis wave, consecrated sphinx, etc. I still run basalt monolith though. Last week I won about 90% of games. This deck is the most fun I've ever had playing magic.
Nice stats! Yeah, Kinnan is definitely a strong commander. But while you're not comboing off to win, cheating in huge threats like Ulamog, Consecrated Sphinx, etc. is still pretty oppressive. So that winrate isn't surprising at all.
Those are all amazing suggestions. Intruder Alarm also goes great with Prime Speaker Vannifar. It might whiff with Kinnan if you don't get a creature from those 5 cards, but it's definitely way helpful most of the time - especially with Presence of Gond attached to another creature. Leyline of Abundance is a great substitute for Kinnan just in case. Being able to get it Turn 0 is just icing on the cake.
I've created a Kinnan deck myself, my goal is to generate infinite colored mana and win the game. For that I use a lot of mana dorks that can produce green and/or blue and use Freed from the Real and Pemmin's Aura. To tutor those cards I use Drift of Phantasms. I also use Paradise Mantle so Kinnan or any other creature can generate mana itself and combo without any other mana dork. I also uncluded the [Isochron Scepter + Dramatic Reversal] combo for infinite mana. Fabricate and Tezzeret help find Isochron Scepter and Muddle the Mixture, Merchant Scroll and Spellseeker help find Dramatic Reversal. Once you go infinite you can put any creature from your deck onto the battlefield. The first creature I choose is Tidal Barracuda. Then I put Prophet of Distortion or Thrasios, Triton Hero to draw my entire deck and kill with a Walking Ballista or Stroke of Genius. The rest of the deck are mana rocks and counterspells.
My deck is Duel Commander format so I don’t use Thassa’s Oracle (banned). I prefer not use cards like Laboratory or Jace that basically can be used only as finishers. Walking Ballista and Stroke of Genius are very good even without infinite mana or without I draw my entire deck.
freed from the real, kinnan and any dork goes infinite. making turn 2 or 3 wins sound pretty decent. i personally believe that there are better ways/ways that wont cost me another deck to end the game.
Turn one lotus petal, land,Mana crypt, basalt monalith, gemstone array, and kinnan = infinite Mana turn one. Then you can use kinnans second ability to get all the creatures out of your deck and win on the spot.
Mana Crypt and Basalt Monolith don't give colored mana; how can I activate Kinnan infinitely mana times with just colorless mana? Or am I missing something?
@@yillanderson1171 Ok, now it's a turn 1 combo, lol. It's a great one at that, too! All of the pieces also go great with Kinnan regardless if you have it in your godhand or not. Kudos!
The Commander Tavern By making it slower I suppose. Remove fetch lands, reserve list cards and a few mana rocks like Mana Crypt. Kinda tune it up to be a Modern Commander deck minus the fetch lands. I will add replacements like Mox Amber.
The Commander Tavern not surprised Simic gets another good card(even though this is really good) but wizards needs to show some love to the other color combinations.
chexmix0101 I agree. They need to think out of the box just as much with the other colors. It’s almost like they have no idea what to do with them besides combat tricks.
Very interesting and well constructed. Thank you!
Thanks! Glad you liked it!
I actually pulled of the infinite colorless combo last night at our weekly EDH game. It felt so damn amazing!
Nice! Extract that salt! >:D
There is a limited amount of fun to be had at the table, and I want it all

@@TheCommanderTavern you can even cheat in vorinclex with natural order. This deck has so many possibilities and it's amazing.
I figured that this would have Intruder Alarm and Presence of Gond in it. I also think that Leyline of Abundance would do well in this deck too

Turn 3 Eldrazi is such a great feeling with him.
For sure! >:D
Great video
Thanks!
Don't forget artifacts work with Ken to.
Revelmonger I know, that’s why Basalt Monolith is one of the ways you can go infinite with Kinnan.

:O That sounds like an incredibly powerful deck. Do you also have Thassa's Oracle as a closer? Or Laboratory Maniac or Jace?

@@vortecao Ah, I see. I don't play Duel so I didn't know sushi was banned. I'm only vaguely familiar with Duel's special banlist.
@@TheCommanderTavern Here's the decklist. www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/2916839#online
I've tried following the link but it seems to be broken.

Freed from the Real is definitely a great card for the deck since it also helps mana dorks go infinite with Kinnan.

With all that mama you think you can run Hydroid Krasis as a way to find cards on cast?
Hydroid Krasis would be a great card here since you can gain a bunch of life which is relevant for the Whirling Catapult wincon.
The Commander Tavern For sure. This card is a simic good stuff deck. Incredibly flexible.
@@TheCommanderTavern it also doubles as a win condition with infinite mana, body, and lifegain. This is a backup wincon in my budget primer.
This deck is wild. I could build it. But I will not. My friends would be angry :D
Lol, it's okay to farm some salt every now and again from friends at a Commander table :P
I’m building it. Going to lower the power level a bit but I’m going to have all the combo pieces.
@@MrWhowatchesme How're you gonna lower the power level?
The Commander Tavern By making it slower I suppose. Remove fetch lands, reserve list cards and a few mana rocks like Mana Crypt. Kinda tune it up to be a Modern Commander deck minus the fetch lands. I will add replacements like Mox Amber.
Ah, I see.
Damm what a stupid op card

The Commander Tavern yup totally agree
This is one nasty build.. thank you I didnt really need friends anyway .
At least they'll leave some salty tears behind XD
@@TheCommanderTavern
They will cry a river
Imagine making an Eldrazi build with Kinnan as the commander.....🧐🧐🤓🤓.....
**cough**....
Lol, well, that's one way to take advantage of the ridiculous amount of mana you're going to be generating.
@@TheCommanderTavern Not to mention.....ALL of the salt you could mine from those commander sessions......it would make Morton so proud 😃😄😅
@@K_Swift Yes! Let the salt flow!
So this is basically Momir deck with commander switched? Great! :D
Ivan Saliuk Mhm! Not only is it busted but it has multiple ways of building around, too.
:D
Thanks, you made me not want to make this deck lol
Lol, you're welcome!
boring lol
