Matt is my beloved brother - not only the best singer and musician there is but the most loving and supportive big brother also ( Dom, you are too!) I am so proud of him and will always love him. We all will. His intelligence, his love, his brilliance and his sensitivity. His music speaks for itself - he is a poet - passionate and talented but his humour and his love and loyalty to his/ our beautiful Mum and entire family makes him someone we miss everyday! He is still with us. It’s his Birthday today. I love reading these comments - his affect on people makes me glow with pride. Yeah he didn’t sell out and he was more of an artist than a business man ( hence him placing his trust in some ‘questionables’ in the music industry) but no matter what my brothers beautiful voice will ring out forever. ‘Truth is beauty, beauty is truth’ and my big bro rocks! Love you Matt- always will. Happy Birthday Slugger xsxrbm
You certanly have a brother to be proud of Sophie. I first saw Matt Finish around 1980 at I think the Manly Vale, supporting Flowers and Chisel. Blew me away with his talent. Brilliant musician. I still have Short Note...played regularly..
Short Note is one of the best Aussie albums ever released and the title track is one of the most beautiful songs ever recorded! My then girl friend and I used to sing it to each other...things ya dont forget.
I wouldn’t be surprised if you never see this, but your brother is without a doubt my favorite musician of all time. Was just wondering if perhaps there was any more material of his that has yet to see the light of day? I know of an unreleased album from ‘95 and a few other songs but have no way to find them.
Sophie, don't know if you remember me but I used to hang out with Matt, Jeff Annie Dom and sometimes you in Manly, Love to catch up for a chat if you feel like reaching out, cheers Sean
It’s beautiful and understandable that my big bro is still making an impact on peoples souls! Love hearing this comment on Christmas Eve! He lives on in his family’s hearts and many many friends/fans hearts. His voice snd lyrics are just as brilliant and beautiful today -will always be! Love you Matt, Slugger xsxrb
Intelligent music with lyrics that tell a story and great rocking guitar riffs. Amazing these guys were not more mainstream in the day but then again Midnight oil and Cold Chisel struggled to get any airplay back when they were selling out pubs from Gelong to Cairns. The Aussie music industry still doesn't make much sense.
Live at the musos club. What a great venue. Used to see some fantastic acts there. Leon Berger Band played there a lot. Rex Goh ,Paul Kneipp, Brenton White, Andy burns and the list goes on. Barry leef used to play covers of the Eagles really well. Doug Parkinson was another feature. I remember seeing these guys, god I might have even been in the crowd drinking scotch and cokes. Remember the hot dog stand out the front of the club after each gig. Great days indeed. I recently purchased this DVD via John and relive the moment when I find time.

Sorry for your loss Sophie Moffitt, Matt was a fantastic artist

Best live band ever at the time. They'd still give most bands - current or otherwise - a run for their money. Love 'em.
Yes, yes YES! They could make a midnight oil gig seem like a funeral
Saw them heaps in the 80's. One of Australia's underrated and most progressive bands. Loved them live.
FMD...these guys kicked some serious ass live. Never knew how good I had it seeing them live every few months in the 80's. RIP Matt...legend!
Why haven't I heard him before. It's only the other side of the world. lol. Wish I'd had the pleasure of hearing this my whole life!!👍
They put on possibly the best live shows I've seen from an Australian band, they were monsters

radiators did the up for grabs album launch there.i also saw doug parkinson and leon berger at the musos.
Awesome Australian rock band👍
Well what can I say a sample of one of the finest australian bands on the live circuit,
with their charismatic polished frontman Matt Moffitt RIP.
absolutely Love this track the lyrics a powerful R.I.P Matt Moffitt ❤🎼🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🎸🎸🎸🎤🎤🙏🙏🙏
Great powerful live band tight as
The great Australian band for mine. John you still blow me away very time man. RIP Matt.
Competely underated Aussie band and Inxs modelled themselves off them IMO just that Matt would not sell out to the corporate
Best Aussie band of all time
my all time fav live band , awesome clip.
Great band always loved them live... Musos club top venue too,,
Great filming, really great filming love it
Awesome!
Takes me back to my schooldays, great
I'd be blown away if anyone could remember his guitar rig from this show, the tone is unreal! Love the 2 Telecaster line up.
From what I saw back in the day, it was guitars straight into Marshalls or Voxes, and a Boss CE1 for the big riffs
Wonder who was the INXS fanboy who gave this a Thumbs down lol
the riff sounds a little like Astrid , Cold chisel
