That album was so beautiful produced. The quality of the rhythm section is so ridiculous good and one of Australia's best Albums. 🙌🤘

And the venue situation just got worse and worse from there.

This is great, but what did John Prior take before it? Looks elsewhere. Also- he's one of my favorite players ever. So not trolling here.

The lack of venues is caused by those damned poker machines. What's a publican going to do? A live venue is a lot of work, after a big night you mop up the residue left by 5,000 punters compared to people playing the pokies it's a no brainer.

well Frank Catlin you could not have been more wrong with that statement ,Matt was a great man and musician and treated you how you treated him !

Yes that's why he shunned the media so much. Gossip mongers such as Catlin are such cowards, "from a reliable source" yeah right. Name the source if it's so reliable or did you just pull it out of your arse. The guy is DEAD so keep your comments for the living who can defend themselves. A man's a man who looks a man right between the eyes.

Do you know how he died? What age? That's really sad, he's an icon of that era.

      46 Y.O.
Alllegedly a stroke in his sleep. Doesn't sound quite right to me, but I don't want to disrespect the guy.

I heard from a reliable source that Matt was a bit up himself and was really into the "rockstar" thing
