Unironically my favorite level. The slow descent into madness, the music in the background, and the way it just picks right back up with "this entry is nuts :)" Really captures the sudden, inescapable horror of everyday existence. It's also fucking hilarious.

This entire segment was incredible, so many highs and lows. Music was on point for all of them. Amazing work by the folks who made these. Still don't know if the QLDC Judging Level was serious about everything it was judging and maybe it's better not to know if there really was a farting pony and a skinless mario Sprite. That was especially amazing. It started to read like an AI dungeon prompt except it stayed coherent. Strangely beautiful and disturbing. Definitely a glimpse into a dark reality.

The QLDC judging level had me repeatedly debating whether or not it was art, and it would then immediately start talking about shit like Sonic the Hedgehog Mad Libs. And whenever that happened, I stood reassured that it definitely is art.

Between the Law and Order Parody and the QLDC Challenge Level dissertation, this stream segment was WILD (in the best way) - also the music for many of the levels, including the 120 fps mario vaporwave-esque level, were incredibly well done and I love hearing all the SMW tracks in fanmade content
Having seen a full play through of the Hamburger Hell one before, I HIGHLY recommend doing a full run of it when you have the time/brain power for it. It gets absolutely nuts in terms of what the mechanics allow for and the plot and meme trash ascend into levels of absolute bonkers insanity that do not disappoint.
That last entry just blew my mind. Like god damn. That's exactly the reason why I love rom hackers. I'm sure they could make not only full blown games. But unique ones at that. I look forward to people making more stuff like that.

This entire segment was incredible, so many highs and lows. Music was on point for all of them. Amazing work by the folks who made these.
Still don't know if the QLDC Judging Level was serious about everything it was judging and maybe it's better not to know if there really was a farting pony and a skinless mario Sprite. That was especially amazing. It started to read like an AI dungeon prompt except it stayed coherent. Strangely beautiful and disturbing. Definitely a glimpse into a dark reality.

i think people mistake "questionable" as exclusively bad, the law and order guy got it down though you'd for sure say "are you sure that's an idea?" to the premise but it looked alright

And whenever that happened, I stood reassured that it definitely is art.

Between the Law and Order Parody and the QLDC Challenge Level dissertation, this stream segment was WILD (in the best way) - also the music for many of the levels, including the 120 fps mario vaporwave-esque level, were incredibly well done and I love hearing all the SMW tracks in fanmade content
I was never expecting an entire detective Mario rom hack in Super Mario World, I would crave a Phoenix Wright Mario game.

Voice acting is impeccable
Having seen a full play through of the Hamburger Hell one before, I HIGHLY recommend doing a full run of it when you have the time/brain power for it. It gets absolutely nuts in terms of what the mechanics allow for and the plot and meme trash ascend into levels of absolute bonkers insanity that do not disappoint.
That last entry just blew my mind. Like god damn. That's exactly the reason why I love rom hackers. I'm sure they could make not only full blown games. But unique ones at that. I look forward to people making more stuff like that.
I'm going through a real rough patch right now, but after that qdlc judging level, I feel like I'm in a slightly better place now.
