Hey, I appreciate you reviewing the bike. The updated and improved fixie bike offers solutions for all the significant issues you raised in the video. 1) The stem was modified. It is robust and unbreakable. 2) To make it easier for tall riders to ride, the fork steerer tube has been enlarged to 215mm. 3) The new fixie has Hartex 28C Urban Ride Series 30 TPI (puncture-resistant) tyres. 4) The upgraded brake callipers now available aid in quick breaking and 5) Brake Lever and Handle are a matter of preference. Keep cycling and supporting the cycling community till then by making more of these videos, thank you.
Thank you so much Bikecart for viewing the video. Yes, I do acknowledge that Bikecart is customer centric and has upgraded all the components and resolved most of the issues. I really liked this bike, and it is great to ride it, my only regret is that the most things you upgraded was after I bought the bicycle and now I could see that I could have saved a lot if these upgrades would have been provided earlier. Well I would like to thank you anyways for this wonderful bicycle. Also for the handlebars It would be great to have something with short reach and compact drop as it really helps in longer rides as I could check now Please watch the next video I would upload with all the upgrades and general tips.
Bro, don't cry about it. You get what you pay for, A good budget fixed gear bike comes around 25-30k, this cycle costs half of that, so obviously there will be some cost cutting in certain areas. And this goes to any online viewer, if you're gonna pay absurdly cheap for a bike always keep your expectations low, and be prepared for modifications.
Well first of all thanks for watching this video I will answer this question in segments 1) Frame Material - Carrera is made up of aluminium 6060 alloy, which I personally do not prefer due to ride quality and reliability, I prefer much of steel due to its spring and smooth ride quality along with the reliability of steel that it won't be brittle and would fail catastrophically on me. 2) Hassle-free maintenance: Although gears are a good option to have but the amount of effort and complexity it takes to fix gear issues and its maintenance is way beyond the comfort of having gear. 3) Simplicity: Revin Fixie is really simple I am able to fix almost all of the issues by myself, not to mention that I am able to service all the parts by myself only. 4) Terrain: When I used to ride on a gear bike, I noticed that I barely even changed the gears maybe because of the terrain I live in, but most of the riders confirmed that they also mostly stay on the same gear. 5) Geometry: The geometry of Carrera is not aggressive but also I do not like the sloping top tube from seat tube to head tube, rather I love the horizontal top tubes and the aesthetic classic look that they give to the bicycle. Overall I would have preferred Carrera if it was made up of steel and have that horizontal top tube, cause for the same price one could have gotten Decathlon RC 100 drop bar edition for 20k which is a bit better than Carrera and which I have rejected due to the same issues as of Carrera.
Hey, Thanks for the deep review. Could you please tell if the brake levers are of good quality? Like the grip on them, and the durability. Also can you tell where you bought the new brake levers and what is their price? Thanks.
The brake levers were okay, but I would not suggest them, I would suggest to buy a "Tektro RL 340" brake levers, as they are of good quality and provides improved grip and brake power.
No i haven't installed the fork incorrectly it came like this and secondly I checked with the Bike Kart and they've also checked that the fork was correctly installed, they'll also send me the replacement soon for this
@@sachinpatilphysicsconcepts6384 The upgraded handlebar was from bumsonthe saddle website, it's a Giant XR connect 38 cm, it is literally the best handlebar for the price in the market right now. Please find the link for simplicity bumsonthesaddle.com/products/giant-connect-xr-drop-handlebar
Well look, to be honest there are so many things other than just height which tells you the fitting of the bike, but in general terms for 6'2 I would say that you may require to buy a longer stem and also a seat post too.

Thanks for the video :). I upgraded to a Noseless saddle, Added extra grips , Changed the positions of the brakes, Tweaked the sensitivity of brakes, Changed to BTwin adjustable Stem, Added two water bottle cages, Changed into MTB Flat pedals and No changes done to wheels yet...but I'm thinking of upgrading mine to Tannus Solid tires , May be in the future the brakes, Also want to get the 60T Scolarian Crank set. Sir, Can you help me with the details of Shimano Sealed Bottom Bracket ? please. Also did the Chain stay had to be adjusted to suite the 60T Scolarian Crank? or Did the 60T Scolarian Chain ring rubbed with the chain stay in the frame?. Thanks once again. :)
Well thanks for watching ☺️, No the chainstay does not needed to be adjusted it fit well with the 107mm spindle length BB but 103mm BB is prescribed by Scolarian but 107 makes it a good deal as the chainring doesn't rub against the chainstay Now let's talk about tyres, I will not prescribe to change your tyres to Tannus solid, as that would be the worst upgrade, yes you won't have to worry about the flats, but of course it would be bumpy, not comfortable at all, and it will also ruin your rims as it does not absorbs any kind of shocks like a traditional tyres with air, I would insist to get something 28c with puncture protection of some kind Hartex 28c was best in terms of performance vs comfort and also good against the puncture protection for the price, I will also state that rather than getting a Scolarian crankset, you may wanna get handlebar I would suggest if you have stem of 25.6mm then go with Decathlon www.decathlon.in/qr/8526748/-1 this handlebar or is you have 31.8mm stem then go with bumsonthesaddle.com/products/giant-connect-xr-drop-handlebar this giant handlebar
And yes if you want to never get punctures I will suggest rather go with schwalbe marathon or marathon pro than to use those Tannus solid tyres, all of my cyclists who have these tyres never once faced puncture from these it's comfortable holds air effectively and also one of my friends have currently these going for more about 40,000+kms and still have not got a puncture, but may have to change the tyre due to tread wear
@@toptechtym I'll have to think about Bottom Bracket & Crank upgrades , They seem to cost more than the Revin Fixie itself🙏🕊.Holding the drop side of the handlebar to avoid the winds sometimes feels odd due to it's wierd length, which hits my wrist against it and I'm using Two Grip tapes on my 25.4 Handlebar, I think I'm good with it as long as I ride holding top side near the brakes...I use motorcycle gloves which provides good padding , guess I'm saving a grand on that 🙂 Thanks for Hartex 28C. Now I know where to go to buy my spares if I change my mind.🙂 I'm a noob when it comes to bicycles, still learning my ways. @@toptechtym Hope I don't break the plastic pins / inserts due to my weight when I hit a bump, other than that being a heavier rider Tannus Solid tyres may work for me. Haven't started saving for it yet. If I'm going for BB & Crank change, I can may be use a Hartex or Schwalbe Marathon tires. Haven't made up my mind yet. 40k Klicks is an Incredible record...he must be a serious bicyclist. My best regards for his success :) Thanks for helping me out Sir. Have a wonderful day :)

I seriously wanted to buy this cycle. Looks like I had to spend lot more to make it safe. The weak stem is the deal breaker for me. Can you suggest me any other bicycles? I just want a simple low cost cycle with at least minimum safety. I am considering Montra timba, ninety one tracer, triban rc100, Firefox bad attitude etc
Please note that I have confirmed with the Bike Kart, they have updated most of the parts, they have upgraded the stem, Tyres even rims in the newer version of the Revin, well I do think for the price Revin Fixie is the best in the price range, do not forget that the frame is absolutely amazing, no other brand is providing better than this, yeah Firefox bad attitude is second best, but if you'd like you can go with Decathlon Triban RC 100 it's perfect for the price, that's all I can say, but I personally prefer Bike Kart more

Current Crank teeths are of 60t , I think what you mean by pedal length is Crank length, so the crank length is 170mm and the price of the whole crankset was 4,800 rs

Agar weight loss ke liye chaiye hai toh ye bhi dekhna important hai ki kahan chalaaoge, if you will ride on roads then ek road bike lene main hi bhalai hai, I will suggest ki budget thoda stretch karke Decathlon ki RC 100 le lo warna second hand Road bike bhi try kar sakte ho, but agar off-roading bhi karni hai toh go for a mountain bike, and Motra Chord is a good option.
No, you could try but it is non-recommended as the dropouts in this bicycle is horizontal, and in horizontal or track dropouts you can and should always used single speed or fixed gear mechanism.
No, that was not the case, the fork was properly fitted, yes the tires were reversed, I contacted the Bike kart and they sent me the new fork which was good.
