Well you forgot that he criticised Rangnick and Ten Hag too. And I see it very differently from you, I see Ronaldo only likes people who stroke his ego. I found it very insightful, I am the same age as Ronaldo and have watched his whole career. Of course I didn’t like the Ten Hag comments, the timing, the fact it was Piers, however I agree with Mark that a lot of elements of this interview were fascinating. The relationship between Ronaldo and ETH went downhill due to lack of communication between the player and the club/coach. If both had sat down and explained each other's view honestly then the issue of disrespect won't likely exist. Ronaldo is still the GOAT and ETH is still an excellent coach who is doing an amazing job at building the team. Let's not read too much about the word "disrespect". Ronaldo was being led by Piers M. to use the term disrespect during the interview and Ronaldo just went with it probably because English is not his first language. If Piers has lead the interview and said that the problem occured mainly due to lack of communication instead of pushing the matter due to disrespect, then most likely Ronaldo would have went with it as well. Overall I felt Ronaldo has been manipulated by Piers for sensational highlights. Nevertheless, it was good to hear from Ronaldo for a change after being slated by the Media for all this while.

I do believe that communication was the main issue. In the larger scheme of things, the Glazers and the people in charge of the football club is to be blamed. When ETH mentioned no preseason, it's not down to fitness only. It's also the style of play which both Antony and Eriksen already well accustomed to. This also explained why Casemiro wasn't in from the start.
He missed pre-season for the reason we all know. Why is he being punished because of that? I think all went south because the club, the media, certain fans, ETH did not believe Ronaldo and fantasised he was missing pre-season for an elaborate plan to leave the club. MG. I love Ronaldo but as u say we have to respect the manager. Rewind 14 years ago a young pep took over Barca and basically froze out the best player in the world. And it proved to be a master class. Ronaldo a goat.
And it all boils down to whether you think Ronaldo should be treated differently. What would the other players say? Statistics and records are past. I care the most about Man Utd winning, whoever plays. All along ETH protected him really and not “lied” to the press.
Let alone Ten hag's ability in coaching and the guy being Ronaldo, how hard is it to communicate with your team member and actually make a substitute for ONLY footballing reasons.
ETH may turn out to be a successful manager at Man utd in future but it's clear that he can't handle big names big personalities big players...he sud have dealt properly with Ronaldo rather than putting his Ego over everything

Wait - ETH was so excited and expected goals from him (what he was saying all the time), but at the same time wanted him out? It proves Ronaldo's right actually.
@@harderway8568 how does that prove Ronaldo right? If Ten Hag and top executives wanted him out, why would Ten Hag publicly make that statement?
Didn't Tan Hag say he benched him coz he respected him? Then your same Tan Hag contradicted himself
For years this media , clubs , ex players and fans have had their say on what Ronaldo should have done or should do . Now it’s Ronaldo’s turn . Don’t see any issue with interview being one sided
Thought there was nothing wrong with the interview. Ronaldo came across well.
He has to pay for that studio
@nickyc777 *shocked Pikachu face* The horror!
Ok then 😂
@nickyc777 Nick, relax. He is not damaging the club. United was great before Ronaldo and they will be great after Ronaldo. The problems United have, do not lay with Ronaldo but from the people in charge, the terrible negotiators, the gross overpaying for average players, the extortionate ticket prices and the poor commitment to long term strategy with Managers, the lack of investment into the grounds, stadium, etc, the attempt to sell of the club to off branch Super Leagues, so on. In the 8 years since SAF left, £1.5 Billion on Players, over £60 million on Managers, all relative failures for the club. Aside from maybe Ibrahimovich.
Ronaldo is not the issue and this Interview is a breath of fresh air. Its nice to hear a footballer with brains and not a head full of sawdust like most players that are make believe inspirational people.
Mm. Calling anyone that rightfully criticises him a rat, and disrespecting a manager simply because he could see the team was playing better without ronaldo makes him come across well? I genuinely had no idea this many stupid people existed, who would actually fall for ronaldo’s bullshit. This is all about him no longer being the main man of the team. Did you fall asleep during the interview or are you actually this gullible?
mark i understand you say that morgan has no ball knowledge but to change your mind about things is normal just like how you changed your mind on maguire
I get that Mark is trying to compare this situation with what happened between Sir Alex & Roy Keane but the problem is ten hag isn't in the same bracket as Sir Alex, it's like Neymar having a fall out with graham potter. Sir Alex was already an established world class manager, ten hag isn't.
