There will never be anyone as talented as Donald O'Connor. He outshined them all, and was si multi talented. No matter who's in the screen, my eyes are always in him. Just a sweetheart of a man. Always adored him😊

Astounding energy & talent. there will never be another like Donald O'Connor. Hollywood SHOULD have given him more A-quality films. he was triple-A talent all the way !

I'm sure Donald would have loved to be in The Wizard of Oz. As a kid he, he had what he called a "terrific crush" on Judy Garland. They were also great friends. Part of his excitement over getting into the movies was due to the hope that being a movie star might impress Judy. :)

They never have or ever could make another star like him. He was MAGICAL. He’s probably make ‘me laugh and cheer up there! ❣️

In my opinion, he was the best of the best. He certainly deserved more recognition. Never understood it.

I'd like to see either Fred Astaire or Gene Kelly do THAT!!!
Donald O'Connor was a great, GREAT talent.
If you were to ask me who I would rather see perform or, better yet, *rehearse,* Donald, Fred or Gene -- I'd say Donald O'Connor in a heartbeat.
He wasn't just a better, more engaging dance than Fred or Gene -- both of whom were far too *studied* in their moves -- he also had brilliant timing as a comedian -- something Fred & Gene sorely lacked.
He stole every scene he was in!

I completely agree with you 💯. It's positivity criminal he never received the AFI lifetime achievement award. A gross oversight by the academy. I think everyone is shaking their heads in disbelief.

Too young. He'd have been 14 years of age when they released the film in1939. Also he wasn't at MGM at that stage was he?
Admit he'd have been brilliant tho ;-) Talented guy.
