- This might've been the busiest we've ever seen Busch Gardens Williamsburg! It's day 2 of Virginia is for Coaster Lovers with the Coaster Crew, and we were treated with a behind the scenes tour of Verbolten to kick off our day! Unfortunately it got to be so busy that we had a hard time doing anything, and it certainly didn't help when rides kept closing due to bees!

Seeing the backstage of a ride is always cool. I got to see it on Splash Mountain.
I just wanted to say thanks for taking a picture with me I was there with my step dad that day and I didn’t expect to see you guys there so thanks for that, just so you know I was the guy you met at Apollo’s chariot that day

Hearing All Around Me by Flyleaf was absolutely not what I was expecting in a Coaster Studios video, but good to know whoever was playing music at the park has taste 😂
I went there last Thursday every ride was hauling even alpengeist through its helix and all the coasters were walk on that whole night. That max wait I had for a Haunted House was 5 min.
this time around alpengeist tends to go a little faster threw it’s second half
Verbolten is awesome! For a family coaster it's quite intense with a few pretty good airtime moments.
The pathway to the Witch of the Woods is scary. When I was there the park wasn't too busy so that pathway was empty so I began wondering if I had somehow gotten lost backstage in the dark and that was creepier than the maze itself. Circo Sinistro is DEFINITELY the best maze at BGW Howl-O-Scream. It's not even close.
Not sure on the weekend you went, but the wife and I went there on 10/16 and had issues with bees. AC's open was delayed for 20mins cause they were spraying, I think Griffon was open for like an hour before closing for the rest of day. Parked was packed as well, by the time we got back around to Lochness the line was out to the steps heading down to the lake. First trip there in 5yrs (which is a little sad since I live 45mins away...but that's life) and definitely wasn't a memorable one.

We went weekend of 10/23....worst experience ever, park was over capacity ride waits for 90 minutes, Haunted houses 60 minutes and over. Food lines atrocious. We left after an hour on Saturday, came back Sunday. A little better but not that much, super disappointed

It was my first looper ever and it's just an absolute classic. When it first opened, it was the tallest complete-circuit roller coaster in the world.

The Coaster screw event was great! It was my first event, so I was pretty amazed by the ERT and backstage lol. Wish I got to say hi to y’all. I kinda did say hi before my group went to the tour. Anyways, got all the credits somehow, without a fast pass!! I really liked Apollo’s Chariot for how smooth it was and those restraints, but Alpie was reallly good! Verbolten for sure is my #1 though. Thanks for promoting Coaster Crew’s event, I’m sure I’ll get a membership and visit more parks with them! It was a great day despite the bees lol.

It would be so ironic if Fury 325, the roller coaster themed to hornets were to close because of bees.
I rode the drop tower twice on my visit over the summer. I had no idea that I was supposed to hate it, so I loved it. It didn't hurt me at all, and it had great sustained floater airtime the whole way down. I'd put it among my favorite drop towers, along with Dollywood's, BGTs, and Larson ARMs.
A lot of my friends at school say their favorite ride here is either Griffon or Apollo’s Chariot. Mine’s definitely Verbolten.
I've noticed a lot of bees at a lot of parks this summer and fall that previously wasn't an issue before.
Update: a bee tried to attack my subway sandwich at dorney park today so they're still at it.
I’m a BGW local and I’ve heard rumors that they’re adding another cocktail/beer stand across from Finnegan’s Flyer, but I’ve also heard other rumors of a Chick-Fil-A coming just like Tampa did. Don’t know how much validity there is to either rumor, though.

Great video! I used to work at the park and I was looking for some content that focused on it. The wasps at the top of Griffon and Apollo's Chariot are super common in the Fall and sometimes the Spring. I'm surprised that Mach Tower didn't have that problem because I can recall a lot of times when it was closed due to it. It's super annoying and because they don't have a nest there the park can't really stop them via pest control. As for Verbolten, such a great ride. It's not my favorite there but the uniqueness is special for it. The panning shot at the beginning of the ride brings back good memories.

The Texas Giant was SWARMING with bees at the top of the lift hill last weekend! 😂
I went to kings island a few weeks back and they were they were swarming the soda machine and the top of beast and Supposily top of Orion

@@876portturbo wow. When I was at kings island they were swarming the second sign of beast and Not long after they shut it down due to I think someone getting stung. They were swarming the soda machines. Go
Restaurants are closed so they can be scare actors most likley. I've seen it at other parks this season as well. It doesn't make for a fun day when it's at capacity and food options are limited. Eat or ride, both are iffy.
They were closed during the summer too. It was quite frustrating to get food on any busy day.

Maybe Busch Gardens can do the same thing with Loch Ness Monster, that Efteling did with Python? Just rebuild it from scratch, but keep the layout as it is... Python is now very smooth to ride ;-)

Orion and diamondback at kings island both had to close for bees and wasps sometime in the last weeks of operation. What is it with tall B&M structures that entice bees?

I went to Kings island a few weeks back and they were swarming the top of the beast to. I know Orion was closed to. Dimondback was fine.
The best part is that we were basically at capacity that day. It’s was the busiest day of the season lol

BGWS my home park, the thing at 7:03 is Grogans. The roof of the building caught on fire in September, and Grogans hasnt been open since (tmk). the only thing I can think is that it may have something to do with that?

They are not bees, they are wasps yellow jackets) and they will sting you if you look at them, aggressive as hell. They can calm that issue by emptying the trash more often but they never learn and people just keep getting attacked ... it stinks!

Until I get to ride alpengheist (and then pantheon), verbolten is currently my favorite ride at BGW.

I recently went backstage of Screaming Eagle. Too bad it wasn’t running because Superman was getting removed, but still cool nonetheless

Hm that's strange when I went on Halloween day mach tower closed in the middle of the day for wasps although I did see a lot of bees though.
I didn't know how to get ahold of u but I have one problem with me paying more than I should have for ur super awesome dope rmc documentary which I love BTW people u need to buy and watch i fully recommened for every person who not only loves this channel but loves rmc it was a great production and a fantastic video deff worth the money but anyways I pre ordered and still payed 15 so....lmk oh BTW this video kicks ass love busch gardens Williamsburg i was there when Fabio got his nose broke by a goose/duck aka the opening of Apollo's Chariot haven't been there since lol

When I went to Halloscream on October 3rd and some of the rides were closed for wasps but they reopened at about 6 but when I went on Apollos Chariot someone threw up and we had to wait like 20 mins for it to be cleaned up
i remember that happening as well... but i don't know how many years ago that event was for you. If the ride op started singing jingles from commercials, and it was a few years ago, i was there

We also thought the mannequin room was the best. We bought a dining pass. But the lines were so long we didn't want to wait in long lines to eat. We wasted $40 on a haunted house pass at Six Flags Great adventure. What a waste. Both KD & BG have better Haunted houses.

It's a pun of sorts, though not a very good one--"verboten", German for "forbidden", combined with "bolt" as in lightning bolt.
