W140 1995 Mercedes s500 finally fixed and we were all wrong

- So it's fixed. No more poor rev idle and the beast is alive again. Well I feel a little dumb because it was a simple fix but at the same time we came together and resolved other issues. I'm so happy all my vacuum lines are fixed as well. Many more videos to come.

Great cars the W140 I have a 1995 2door CL600 and a 75 W116 450se both enjoyable cruising cars, you have a gem and those wheels are rare I've never seen them before, they really stand out anyway I'm glad you got the problem solve and enjoy that car 👍

Wow that's really different from a 1998 s420. I have no spark plug wires, no EGR and hardly any vacuum lines. It changed a lot in 3 years.
Yes they changed the year after mine.

@@zacharytodd5476 I got mine from Amazon they have a great OEM look as well check them out on my IG @cars_for_ weeaboo they come in the original color and they come in medium tinted and smoke tinted I got the medium tainted for $88
Turning pink means it is the original piece that came with the car.

Hello, I need help with getting to know the correct Radiator cap pressure for my Mercedes W140 Diesel please, currently I have a cap of 140 Kilopascals or 1.4 Bar, I think it's pretty high, I bought it new but caused some issues with high temps and a lot of pressure on the water hoses.Thanks and regards.

Hey Pete quick question, I just change the vacuum soft door pump, and one of the doors doesn’t work, is it possible the pump or just the tube related to that door?
Hey Pete. Car looks great. I am very curious to know what the exterior color code is? And what style rims are those? I have a C140 myself that I love..
Exterior is a wrap but it’s called black rose by 3m. The rims are pretty rare but I’ve seen some out there. Mine are 19” Mandrus Emil in chrome. They did come in other colors as well.
So it was the lower wire harnesses?

It was the lowere wire harnesses how was it hooked up the wire that snaps in was on the left or right?
It was the spark plug lead wire connecting the left bank. The wire got burned on engine.
@@petescarport okay because i am having the exact problem the wires all look good but for some reason the car starts idles smooth but when throttle is applied it bogs and sputters i did notice the wire on the right bank is very loose where it connects to the ignition coil is that normal? 95 s 420

Sorry but i have a problem with my soft close , it has a time when everything is working , and after some days of using it , it stops working , when i dissconnect the pomp and conect it agains starts working again for some time ...
So that is what will happen when you have a leak in the system. Best way to test is to reset and try shutting each door one at a time. You may here a hissing noise and that is where leak is. Or if door shuts slow most likely a leak.

Once you are a Mercedes W140 expert, let me ask you something: I have an S500 and feel the car could be quicker with a shorter rear end ratio. Do you know if the S320 fits the S500?

My 1999 S500 gets hot at 5 hours after 5 hours driving home just anybody knows an issue why
That could be a lot of things. More specifically make sure fan is running, coolant is full and are you sitting when it gets hot or moving.

Wish my 95 s420 would be that easy as being a plug wire... starts n runs fine then after it warms up it idles rough n wants to stall then in gear it dies then try n start an it backfires leave it sit for like an hour then starts fine
Hmmmm. Any check engine light or other lights? Also may be clogged cats
May be the o2 sensors mine use to do the same on the CL600 model

@@zacharytodd5476 I'd suggest to get a proper scan device. Unfortunately, CEL light may not show up when a problem exists.
Ohm out the crank sensor or just replace. Just an idea to look into.
W220 are absolute shit. Well done for rescuing the W140, though.
