This is so bloody amazing. I've been on an ELO/Jeff Lynne kick for the last week both here on RUclips and in my car. Takes me back to my high school days. I can't take my eyes off of Rosie Vela and " I can't get her out of my head".

Strange Magic is one of those songs which is extremely unique. It's just not like any other song. Even though it has the ELO trademark sound to a certain extent, it is still very different.

How many times did we make out to this song? I saw ELO in Vancouver, BC in mid-70's. One of the best concerts I've been to and I've been to many. They closed with an encore of Roll Over Beethoven. I didn't want it to end!

I was so thrilled to be able to see Jeff three times in the space of a year during his last two tours. It was kind of funny because on the way out to the parking lot, a couple of guys were bitching that Jeff didn’t play Strange Magic during the show. And I thought to myself, nothing against it but it’s it’s not exactly an energetic song for a live performance. And I think that was the right decision. Plus I also see here that his backup singer (is her name Rosie?) is right up next to him, and it’s very distracting. It was really nice to see Jeff being front and center in all his glory in the shows I saw with the full ensemble arrayed behind him.
