Had tix for Thin Lizzy and Montrose and Ambrosia in Rochester ny 76', unfortunately Thin Lizzy canceled, but Montrose and Ambrosia still played, Ronnie Montrose was great that night as usual, but sadly I never got another chance to see Phil and his great band. RIP PHIL🕊🕊🕊

Phil Lynott was a beautiful poet and a extremely talented musician. He was like alot of us myself included an addict and it sucks so much that it takes people down so many people you love and admire family friends loved ones. The world is so fucked up when there is good it is held on and means alot because there is not alot out there.

Was vacationing in Dublin several years ago and went looking for Phil Lynotts statue, but couldn’t find it. Found out later that some people climbed on the statue for a photo and broke it off its base. The statue has since been repaired.

Had no idea listening to this in the 80’s and till now and at 44 years old, that this was a black man singing lead. Such a classic song heard everywhere. Iconic!
