Yes, he’s the last of the lead singers of the “popular four” Seattle grunge bands. It’s so sad they all left this world way too soon. Eddie has a tremendous heart! I hope he lives forever
Thanks for mentioning the awesome late Gord Downie…another musical treasure and Canada’s favourite son ..In Gord we Trust…RIP to two legends..Taylor and Gord..that’s quite a band you’ve got going in the great beyond…🎶
Beautiful and heartfelt speech from a man and a band that lost so many wonderful friends and brothers and sisters. I watched some of that Taylor Hawkins tribute concert, couldn't get through all of it too emotional. It was an awesome concert, music heals the heart and the soul!! RIP Taylor Hawkins 😇💝🌹
Saw them in 2005 in a 4,500 seater in the Mistake By The Lake, (on North Shore of Lake Superior) with my wife. Lost her 2 years later. Haven't been able to attend a PJ show since, as great as it was. Still have the cd and pix I bought from PJ's site the following day but can't bring myself to play it cuz r good memories we had hurt too much to visit. This was great to see. Thanks.
Crazy enough I got to see two of these sing a song together. Scott and Chester singing creep by Stp at the family values tour. Scott was fucked up big time
@@slavisajelenkovic7398 Yeah, EV pinched relationships with Fugazi & Joe Strummer to gain "credibility" after Cobain / Nirvana constantly slagged PJ off as corporate arena rock!
Thank You So Much Laurie for uploading this Video and letting it make public. This is one of the most heartfelt videos I've ever watched since a while. Literally made me go tear eyed while a beautiful initial watch
Pearl Jam is my all time favorite band. I have seen them live every time I possibly can. I remember the first time I saw them live and it was a rager, and the last time I saw them live people had walker. I'm old I fell in love with Eddie, Chris, Scott, Shannon, and Kurt many years ago. I played a song from each one them to my mom and asked her to pick the best voice and she picked Eddie and he is the only one alive. I think I would have picked Chris. This version isn't great, I don't know if seeing it live ruins it but usually he starts out completely black. I get he was talking about a friend that passed away and that is so amazing of him. Just not a good version of the song. Love Eddie for life though
I was there. Over $400 at face value for a nose bleed seat at the complete opposite end of the arena and the 2 screens they put up were barely 10 feet wide they did basically nothing to enhance the visuals of the band. You can see the same shows in Europe, way closer to the stage, for like 1/10th the price. North America is fucking bullshit. I don’t even care what this video is about. It was in my recommendeds and I saw a chance to comment. Stop wasting your money on these greedy already-filthy-rich bands. RHCP was like $2700 face value for floor tickets in Toronto this summer and the same thing was like £120 in Glasgow the month before. You could literally board a plane, stay in an amazing AirBnb, see Scotland, fly home a couple days later, and have spent less money than taking the subway downtown to see them. You think Foo Fighters is any better? These big bands are all sellouts. Go see touring bands at 1000-1500 capacity venues in your cities that charge $40-50 for GA and you’ll get your minds way more blown than these bullshit stadium shows. And for the record, I didn’t pay a dime for that $400+ ticket. One of my idiot friends bought them because his dumb girlfriend made him, and then they broke up and he was stuck with the tickets and offered to take me. I went and pretended to enjoy being like 200 feet from a band and paying 17 fucking dollars for a beer and 7 fucking dollars for a bottle of water. Never again. Not even for free.
I remember hitchhiking to Ottawa from Smiths Falls ON in 1998 because Ozzy Osborne was playing with no ticket. Got there bought at ticket at the booth for 40$ on the floor. Did the same thing 3 weeks later to see Neil Young for 45$. Times sure have changed.
You should see the ticket prices in the U.S. $6900 for average seats for the Nashville show. The problem is the venue also, they most likely charge the bands up the hoo haa to play at their arenas. Greedy owners.
This man elevates everything he ever touches. ❤
God wrap him up in bubble wrap and keep him safe......we've lost so many.

I know right?!!!!! He’s our last one!!
He and Dave are living heroes!
Eddie is a gift to this world and so generous to other performers. Please live forever Eddie Vedder💜
Eddie didnt have to do this, yet he did it. That’s why I respect and look up to this amazing man. ❤
That man still has it.. One of the best singers of all time.. True living legend!
Pearl Jam, the best band; From intense and visceral rock to the most delicate love and feeling. May they be eternal! Pearl Jam forever!

I cried until I fainted
I had to take it in 5 sittings. Very emotional indeed. Such a huge bow of respect. What a show!
Thank you so much for recording and uploading this. Our Canadian cities are so lucky to have Eddie and the boys roll through with such emotion.
I find myself tearing up a lot this past year…thanks for thinking about Gord….and the loss of Taylor breaks my heart…
Eddie, such a heart of gold 🙏
Never gets old.

Very proud of the support from all the good ole rock bands

Our hearts are broken 💔😢

Nothing but class........oh and talent : )
Great show! Drove from upstate NY. Loved Ottawa!
Enjoyed the tribute to Pete at the end. You’re a gentleman Eddie
the coolest thing about Eddie is he has always just been a fan so he can relate.
GOD BLESS EDDIE VEDDER 😇🌈HE DOES A GREAT TRIBUTE TO EVERYONE IN ROCK N ROLL MUSIC, TO ALL OUR HEROES WHO HAVE COME AND GONE, GOD BLESS EVERYONE.
This was incredible to witness. Thank you for uploading this :)
Love love love!!!
Love the fact Eddie’s been playing that same Tele for over 20 years.
The word is that Joe Strummer gave him this Tele... dont know if thats true but they were really close...

Taylor Hawkins,you can't find a better man
Authentic emotion. We see so, little of it now. Please accept nothing less, for your own good,.
Fkn Awesome....✌️

Class Act right there.
His voice is going and it's sad, but I still love them
Smoking since his teen years has done a number on his voice.

The day Gord died he dedicated a song to him ... The Hip are 🇨🇦
#FooFighters #TaylorHawkins 😎💞💯

I can't find the pyramid, either.
Wouldn't it be awesome if Pearl Jam covered a Hip tune. What song would they cover?
Deep cut, I'd vote for "Escape is at hand for the travellin' man"
@@cdoyle1034 I’d request a few off their latest album.. Machine , In Sarnia , Hot Mic , Ocean Next -
Grace too! Would be awesome song for PJ. Just quirky enough for them too!
@@cutchopweld5717 Yup! 'Yer Not The Ocean' would also be a good one.
They would do a fantastic job. Maybe someday.
Eddie doesn't miss much...
Guy loved Gord downie. Mike Downie should continue the Traggically hip legecy like that sons dude that died due to over touring lifestyle
The tragically hip not rush
Where was this show?
Ottawa, Canada
Who is playing the acoustic guitar
He's Stone Gossard.

You’re right. This sucks.
This is a nice gesture, but man seeing pearl jam these days seems like it's more Eddie talking than the band playing.
Mask girl ruined it lol ffs
😂😂 darn security. In her defense she rocked out the entire show. It was kinda fun to watch her.
YYYAAAWWWWNNNNN!!!!! EV mumbles....followed by another "song" recorded 30 years ago! Talk about "milking" it....EV & PJ need to write a book! 🤣🤣🤣
Gord was a bonafide rockstar. Hawkins was a drug addicted musician.
Who’s Gord?
What a Shame. maybe he shouldnt have shot up Drugs. Nah.
