There's a 0.5 second cooldown before an entity can take damage again, so when multiple people attack one mob, it's invulnerable for a moment.
Yeah, I had entirely forgotten about that. It's the same reason that there isn't much point to lighting enemies on fire--it deals little damage and prevents striking them with weapons. I have seen a mod that removes these invincibility frames, though, which might be something to look into.
@@Kurazarrh Definitely. I learnt this the hard way, when I set a wolf on fire for attacking me :P Needless to say, I was dead before it was.
I get it for damage taken by something other than players, but for player damage this is really stupid and makes the already janky combat feel even worse when you play with other people.
@@Dark__Thoughts The cooldown should be lower for things like fire damage too though. I can't think of a good reason why the devs implemented it this way, but it was probably a way out from fixing some other bug like the infamous arrow/spear double tap
@@rahul9704 Because it would otherwise be OP as hell and basically immediately kill anything that touches fire due to insane amount of damage procs.
The arrow / spear double tap still exists regardless of this and comes down to how the game handles projectiles. They always bounce and then fall to the ground, giving them a chance to hit the mob again, or yourself (I killed myself successfully with this by throwing a spear upwards).
I've been following since the beginning of Guide 2, and I have watched every episode. Even well after I stopped playing and moved on to other games. This episode was FANTASTIC and I needed to say so. Cheers!

Man, I need to go back and get caught up with this series, the house looks so good!. I stopped on episode 25 or thereabouts, but to be fair I did actually start playing VS around them. Love the series, looking forward to my rewatch!

What a splendid episode! Truly extraordinary! Love the way you poke through and around the fourth wall, whichever one that is in that hobbit hole. Also nice to know that you've found yet another one of those transport showers. Hope to see more exploration on the next episode and finally see whatever it is you are seeking in all of these explorations.

Nice and entertaining video. Caves exploration is so much better when made in company and you guys made an excellent job to the point that the vanishing of Rakoona caught me by surprise 😄

One thing that I'm enjoying in 1.19 (aside from Jonas parts from the double-headed drifters) is the increased amount of ruins and value of the loot inside them. Surface ruins are actually worth excavating now, and there's been a few underground ruins I've seen that literally made me gasp at how amazing they looked.
I can't wait to get into 1.19!

You really ought to use the sewing kits when repairing since they repair 75% of your clothing durability for the same number of twine as a linen sheet.

I’m by no means an expert, but from what I’ve heard, blurring can be unblurred. Apparently it’s better to black bar it, because that is destructive instead of just altered I think?
It comes down to how much you blur it, really. I'm pretty sure I've destroyed it enough, but even if I haven't, since it's just a dynamic IP lease from my ISP (like most home Internet), that IP address is long gone by now.

Combat in VS is such a janky hitbox gore experience. I really hope they work on that soon, especially now that they removed the stone proofing.
By the way, did you ever found the Etho Slab? I heard they actually have it in the game, but with a ridiculously low drop chance.
Hehe glad you got the hunter2 reference! Combat does need a big overhaul, and especially to make it multiplayer-friendly. Never seen the Etho Slab. How does one get it?

From what I heard it is a 1 in 1 million drop chance when gathering clay but that is basically hearsay as I could not find . I do know that it is in fact in the game though. Probably possible to look into the code for it, assuming they didn't obfuscate it too.
Speaking of which, Etho in his latest video answered a question if he'd play VS. Wasn't mine but I asked a while ago too. At least we know it is on his radar.
Tyron also commented on the video and said that the next two major updates would be about lore and mechanization.
I was not expecting you playing with friends but it was fun and RIP Rakoona also its been a week since 1.19 released but you are still playing 1.18 why
mods take while to update
In addition to mods needing to update, I keep a buffer of about 4 videos that I record ahead of time. So it introduces some lag into my releases, but it helps smooth out weeks like this week, when I'm too sick to record. :\
SAme here! I use mods that still need to be updated! If I try to load in 1.19 on the same game, I get stuck in the loading screen
yeh. the most annoying thing in both block games is cave generation engine.mthey should do smthn about it. not muuuzes no need new ruins, just less deadends Pleeease ;)
Oddly enough, TFC hat some cool cave gen with really open caves, especially deeper down, which made little sense since there was absolutely no reason to go caving. In older versions they even had aquifers, which were basically underground rivers, but they caused some issues.

he can probably get away with it because his channel is small and uncontroversial, and because his IP will likely automatically change it every so often
If you're talking about the address that starts with 192.168, then no need to worry. That's just an internal address in my network and not very useful to people with bad intentions. My external IP (which is now different due to being a dynamic lease from my ISP) should have been blurred out anywhere it showed up. If I missed one, let me know! (And that 0.0.0.0 address isn't it, btw, so I didn't blur it.)

That's a local network IP and the majority of people have dynamic IP addresses so it wouldn't be that important, especially with a delayed release schedule. And even then you'd need someone malicious AND experienced enough to actually make any sort of use of that. Really overblown.
