Farley and I share the same hometown. I still remember the day of his funeral, it was on every local tv station, every newspaper, and thousands of people honoring him from outside the service, since it was only for people who were invited. Sad how insanely talented people like Farley and Belushi couldn't get over their demons.

Tom Davis (RIP) took Chris aside one day to talk to him about his drug use (when Tom Davis did that, that was something) and told him this ‘Belushi thing’ was getting creepy. Davis said, “do you want to die like John?” Farley said, “oh, that would be so cool.” Davis started weeping. Seems like nobody could do anything. So sad.

I don’t really understand what the influence was. Farley is a million times funnier.

But Farley is the 100 times better successor.

Jim is now a marijuana farmer in Oregon, so I doubt he is totally sober. I can't speculate beyond cannabis.

I don't think so. Sometimes when you get older, your vocal cords get scuffed up or your facial composition changes (sometimes from dentures) creating a different sound that's more hooded and/or slurry. If you look at interviews with Belushi over the past year, it's clear to me that this is just what he sounds like now.

@@mindriot91_96 He might've had a cold, and is talking through a skype or zoom mic, not a professional setup mic. It creates a kind of fishbowl effect.

Ironic for someone who has a marijuana farm that provides a gateway for those who are predisposed to addiction. Does he think people start off with heroin, cocaine, and now fentanyl? Anything that lowers our inhibitions is a gateway drug. And this includes alcohol and prescription medicine.
