That’s great and all, but if they keep him, that’s potentially one less home for a future foster and one less spot in the shelter for a more critical animal. Fostering saves lives and having pet free households for the ones that need extra care is so important.
He’s probably going to be an excellent guard dog too. You might want to keep him to protect your property and yourselves living in the woods. He seems very sweet and beautiful!

As a daughter growing up with 8 large dogs, I learned and perfected the art of quick safe and low stress pill giving. You don’t waste time bribing or using treats. As your dog to sit open his mouth and throw the pill as far back as possible, quickly hold his muzzle shut (so dog cant’t eject pill with tongue) and gently blow on his nose until you feel/see him swallow. Don’t let go of muzzle until he swallows. That’s it, you see most dogs figure out how to eject pill without swallowing it. Then you have a sticky yucky pill to try and throw. Most dogs will tolerate this well as when done correctly it never fails! Hope this helps! Mossa is a sweetheart
Fostering is SOOOO important! ♥️ A lot of dogs don’t do well in “shelter environments” so they get passed up simply because they’re stressed. They have a better chance of adoption if people have a chance to see how they are in a “home environment”. Side note for Mossa!! Have you tried pill pockets?? They are a meaty treat you can wrap his pills in? Lots of different flavours. Another tip would be canned dog food, make a meatball, like you did with the spam. There are some very palatable canned food out there. You can find both of these at a pet store or vet clinic. Or ask the Humane society as they may have some donated products? Good luck and be sure to tell him he is a good boy. 😘❤

Go and get Pill Pockets from the pet store, game changer. We had a Doberman and they are the most loyal loving dogs but you don't own them, they own you. So smart and the best breed if you ask me.
Highly recommend the pill pocket too. To ramp things up you can put the pill in the pill pocket and the dip or cover the pill pocket with something extra yummy.
Yep, if he's food-motivated the Pill Pockets are easiest. I use hot dogs (slice one longways and then into half-moons that are thick enough to push a pill into, at least all of his looked pretty thin - big pills will just split the hot dog piece). Whatever is holding the pill, we show the dog that we have 3-4 treats to eat, give an empty piece first, and then the rest one right after the other, fast-fast so they don't have time to think and just gulp them down to get to the next one. I have them do a sit instead of getting down with them, so it seems normal, and to keep our energy high and enticing we call it "birthday cake" - "come get your birthday cake!! oh boy birthday cake, isn't it delicious??"
@@eamonandbec I grew up with Dobermans. They are big loving babies but pretty territorial. Great for scaring off unwanted intruders but train them to accept your friends. I am always amazed that they and we are so evolved that dogs and people can live together as a family. I am so happy you found each other. Also I am not sure cheese and peanut butter are always good for a gassy dog.

Hey guys ,,I'm a drywall hanger and finisher,,,,,when you have bubbles in your tape and sometimes they don't show up until you put the second coat of mud on ,,,it means you did not put enough mud under the tape ,,, Put lots Mudd on ,,put tape on and wipe all the Mudd back out and you won't have bubbles or what we call blisters,,,have a blessed day 🙏😇
We rescued our Millie last summer, and in the last nine months she's gone from a complete maniac to the most amazing, well behaved, good girl. She amazes me every day with how smart she is and how well behaved she has become. Millie was fostered by three amazing university students who were so patient with her and socialized her with people and other dogs every day. We're so thankful for the amazing things that foster families do for doggos! You guys are the bomb!

I have a rescued cat name Cesar who was lost in winter in the middle of no where as a kitten with frost bite on all 4 paws. It iwill be 4 years in February of this year since i have him and im so happy i was able to save his life.

I'm very happy to see that you two decided to show an animal sanctuary! Most of these animals are rescued from factory farms and slaughterhouses. I hope that this inspires people to leave animals off of their plates and to choose not to use animal products.

Hey guys ,,I'm a drywall hanger and finisher,,,,,when you have bubbles in your tape and sometimes they don't show up until you put the second coat of mud on ,,,it means you did not put enough mud under the tape ,,,
Put lots Mudd on ,,put tape on and wipe all the Mudd back out and you won't have bubbles or what we call blisters,,,have a blessed day 🙏😇

We rescued our Millie last summer, and in the last nine months she's gone from a complete maniac to the most amazing, well behaved, good girl. She amazes me every day with how smart she is and how well behaved she has become. Millie was fostered by three amazing university students who were so patient with her and socialized her with people and other dogs every day. We're so thankful for the amazing things that foster families do for doggos! You guys are the bomb!

I absolutely love that you've decided to foster Mosa!! My own 16 year old dog has just passed away yesterday and it's lovely to see such an old dog getting a new chance at life! I had to do the same thing with his pills every day, they’re too smart for us!! Xx

Also its wonderful to acknowledge kats work. I have a rescued cat name Cesar who was lost in winter in the middle of no where as a kitten with frost bite on all 4 paws. It iwill be 4 years in February of this year since i have him and im so happy i was able to save his life.

I'm very happy to see that you two decided to show an animal sanctuary! Most of these animals are rescued from factory farms and slaughterhouses. I hope that this inspires people to leave animals off of their plates and to choose not to use animal products.

@@eamonandbec i really mean it. If lockdown has taught us anything is that you should enjoy your life no matter the circumstances. I'm stuck at home since our second lockdown here in Greece on November 3rd, it's pretty hard, but making my crafts and spending quality home time is precious. You guys seem to face whatever life throws at you with a huge smile and positive energy and that's really inspiring! ❤️
