Easier way to drain the washing water: use a garden hose. Lay one outside in grass or in an empty bath tub. With the other end of garden hose, shove the washing machine’s little “hose lever”, or black drain tube, inside the garden hose. The force of the water draining will flow thru the hose to the other end. No mess!

Lol and the water pisses out still cause that tube doesnt connect to the pump door it's from behind so there water sitting at the end of the cap and that is only if it isnt blocked with soap scum or limescale also. Very common.

Lay dust sheets or towels down. Only open the filter a little bit at a time so the water can dribble out a little bit at a time. Use containers and a bucket. Clean the filter and cap. Then try a rinse on the machine.

Yes. I called a technician who came out and said that the drain pump was broken. He said it could have been caused because something hard like a coin could have hit the little plastic fan that is on it and broken a fan blade. He replaced the drain pump at a cost of 449.00🙁. I looked up the cost of a drain pump and it is under 30$, on Amazon. People said that You Tube shows one how to replace it. If only I would have known…..

Try using a hammer to lightly tap against it . This will create shock and might make it easier to open. If you don’t have a tube you might have a drain off type point. Hope this helps.

The cause could be something blocking the filter. Similar to debris blocking up a sink, when this happens water will not drain.
