Finally! This video gave me the courage to finish my 1st quilt. Thank you 😊
this is a great video the simplest one I could find, and you can see all the steps as the camera zooms in thank you.
Good clear demo of a neat mitre that works every time and leaves neat corners. This video also shows one of the easiest and neatest ways to join the ends of the binding strip for a wrinkle free join.
Best binding tutorial for me 😊
Finally, I understand how to bind two strips!!!! thanks for sharing!!!!
Elizabeth from Australia just perfect🎉
4:39 I have made lots of quilts and always struggled with this part of joining two ends. This was incredibly easy and it worked beautifully. Thank you!
Absolutely Brilliant! Thank you! You are a charming and excellent teacher!
Love your explanation. Easily understood! Thank you!!
Thank you, couldn't figure that out myself
used this video when i made my first quilt and just returned for a refresher for my second quilt! such a good straightforward video! thanks!
I watched a lot of vids to figure out how to do mine, and this was the one that helped the most. Thanks for your thorough teaching!
This was fantastically helpful for a first time quilter. Thank you so much!
I never leave a comment- but you are a GREAT instructor! Thanks for sharing how to manage to make these corners.
This is genius and so easy. I always feared binding but you have overcome my fears!
I love the way you miter the corners. Easiest way so far. Thank you for your tutorial.
You just saved my sanity. I love every part of quilting except the joining of the binding
Best tutorial on binding a quilt I’ve seen so far!
Yes it is.
Thank you for posting. Very good lesson on binding.
Best binding tutorial ever . Thank you so much 😍😍
Thank you for an easy method I will try.💞
I really dislike hand stitching so seeing a binding machine stitched makes it less tedious.
I only wish content posters would keep us newbies in mind and discuss needle size for this type of job due to dense layers. Also, best feet to use, thread tension, stitch length, etc. It cuts the frustration of having to troubleshoot--a newbie has enough to worry about 🙂
Thank you for this tutorial.

Great visual for me, thank you! Your instructions are so easy to follow. Thank you again.
Wow. amazing!!!! I been looking for an easy way to do binding and this one is the winner🎉🎉Thank you😅
I’m loving your iron!!!
Thank you nice easy instructions. I used to leave enough of the back fabric to make the binding but this method is much better. Thank you.
Excellent video, really helped me a LOT!
Excellent instructions. Thank you so much. I'm binding a quilt as I type. Thanks a million! Wooo hoooo.
This basically what I do, but I have not ironed the binding, I am going to try this. I straight stitch along the edge.
This is a wonderful video!!! Thank you!!
Thank you! I'm new to quilting and this was very clear instructions.
Awesome. I've never used binding, but I may have to give it a go after watching how easy it is.
Crystal clean video
Thank you, so easy
Thank you for such a great video!
Great video. Simple and easy to understand. I can do this.
Would have imagined washing pegs would. Be ok to use if you don’t have access these tiny clips
After all, they aren’t used for very long!?
Ok but I have some tips for your instructions because here is where I struggled with the mitered corner. I understood and your camera clearly showed that when you angle off into the corner you are not back stitching at all. BUT after you FOLD the corner and start your 1/4 inch do you back stitch there or not. Do you start in 1/4 inch or start off the fabric and then continue without any back stitch. As a new person to Quilting these are the kinds of camera shots and verbal instructions many of us need.\
Hi Gina, there's no harm in backstitching during this process. Just make sure to pay close attention to how much space to leave at the end to finish the binding. Thanks for your feedback for future tutorials.
Grreat instructions!
I would've liked seeing the back of the binding. I'm always interested to see how other people's turns out.
Thank you! New to quilting and binding has been my toughest part to learn. Really like how easy you made it look in your video. It looks like you’re using a 1/2” presser foot when you’re for the top of the quilt. Is that correct?
Do you still stop a quarter of an inch before the corner even if your binding is wider ?
The quarter inch is a common seam allowance and therefore it is typical to stop a quarter of an inch from the edge to create the angled stitch. However, you can adjust your seam allowance depending on your binding size and desired look, and therefore would adjust where you stop accordingly!
Thank you for that, I have Babylock , did you sew with the original foot it the opentoe? Thanks
Hi Eleanore, Sara used the standard 'J' foot in this video.
I'm confused about the corners on the front of the quilt. Which way do you press & clip them before doing the decorative stitch?
If you use a walking foot, can you use a decorative stitch? How do you end the stitch on the decorative stitch?
I pull the thread thru from the top to the bottom and knot them. You can bury the knot with a needle if you want to.
I hadn't gotten that far with thread questions. I just didn't want to do a serpentine stitch and the needle break as I was using a walking foot.
Would of liked to seen what the back looks like.
Me too. None of the machine binding videos I see out here ever show the back.
How you fill the bobbin for a babyloçk machine
Hi Anna, what machine are you using?
what foot are you using for this binding?
What is the name/type of the sewing foot you are using?
Would like to see the back of the binding
hi. where did you get those little clips? great video!!!
I purchased some off of Amazon. Check there, they have them.
You don't need to buy Wonder Clips, a less expensive brand works just as well. I also got mine from Amazon. Got a small tin of about 50(?) two different sizes for next to nothing.
Didn’t know to press before flipping binding over
You didn’t show how to finish the corners on top side.
Your not meant to iron wadding, it ruins it
My thoughts exactly. Any suggestions on how to do it without ironing?

Looks easy breezy!
